We were travelling from Sydney to Melbourne and were in no hurry. This hotel is in a quiet and peaceful location that has great character. Our welcome at the hotel was so friendly and the owners made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The suite was clean and spacious and there is plenty of parking space. We found the locals really friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of choice for food and drink around and about.

Room Tip: Try to book one of the garden suites as these have lovely views

My partner and I stayed at the Anchor Bay Motel from Jan 31 to Feb 2 2012. The location couldn't be better. It is situated in a quite spot on the Jervis Bay. There is a public pool across the road and a quiet swimming beach some 200 metres away. You could go fishing on the pier and while we were there, lots of people were doing exactly that. We thought of doing the same but had no gear. Garry, the owner, offered us the use of his rod and reel. We didn't take him up on his offer because it rained all the time we were there. We did drive to Huskisson for the eco boat trip and saw the entire Jervis Bay for AUD35 per person.

Anchor Bay Motel provides a microwave oven, fridge, and crockery and cultery. We brought our own breakfast so only had to eat lunch and dinner out. For one of our dinner, we bought two dozen oysters from an oyster farmer, a kg of boiled prawns from the fish market in Huskisson, rolls from a Huskisson bakery, and beer from the neighbouring bottle shop. They were all unbeliveable good.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Anchor Bay Motel in spite of the rain. I used the village pool and was probably the only person that day to do so. BBQ is available onsite, so is laundry. Garry and Jeni are incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming. They have lots of local knowledge. If you do come this way, I highly recommend the Anchor Bay Motel.

Room Tip: We were in room 1, but I think all the rooms are equally good.

Dear Joy of Toronto, Canada,
What a wonderful review. Your appraisal of what is on offer in the village and surrounds as well as the motel is very comprehensive. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us, despite the weather. The crew at Dolphin Wild certainly look after our guests. The Eco cruise is a wonderful experience. We hope to see you again some day.
Our very best wishes,
Garry and Jeni

Greenwell Point has its own charm. It is a village that has not been discovered by the big developers. The folk are friendly and helpful and the motel looks over the fishing port and bay.

Jeni and Gary are the ultimate hosts. They are ready to advise but are in no way intrusive. The motel rooms are immaculate and well appointed. The tarrif is excellent value for money.

Dear Georgie W,
We thoroughly enjoyed having you and your family to stay in October. As you say, Greenwell Point is quite unique. Despite being in a gorgeous location on the water, the developers have stayed away. It remains largely undiscovered, a rarity on the coast. We look forward to welcoming you and your lovely family back at the motel sometime in the future.
Best wishes,
Garry and Jeni

We stayed at Anchor Bay Motel for three nights and absolutely loved it. The owners are friendly, informative and professional in the way they service. They gave us great insight about the area, talked us through all the routes for driving and also gave us great tips about where to eat what. The room itself was one of the seaview suits and we had a beautiful outlook to the lake. The room was very clean and had everything that a couple would need. We had a little balcony where we enjoyed the views over wine in the evenings and breakfast every morning. The motel is very quiet and peaceful and in close vicinity to all the major attractions around the area.

Room Tip: To make the best out of your stay ask for the upstairs rooms with the view of the lake.

We stayed here for one night this week while visiting friends .The previous reviews reflect the atmosphere which is friendly and obliging. The room was very roomy with a great outook over the water and the bathroom clean and fresh. Fishing from the wharves across the road was very popular and we were able to watch the trawlers unloading their catch.
All in all a very pleasant stopover and will stay again next time we are down this way

Room Tip: Ask for a water view

We were on a road trip along the South East Coast of Australia and stayed at this motel on our 2nd night. Although the check-in was supposed to be before 5pm, we called them up and the owner waited for us.

Upon arrival at the check-in lobby, the owner was extremely friendly. He enthusiastically showed us the map along the Grand Pacific drive and suggest places of attractions for us the next day. He introduced many great places for us to visit and even introduced a couple of great breakfast places along the way.

Although there were limited eateries nearby, he gave us a reasonably good selection of places for dinner.

Although the rooms were quite small and look rather old, overall, the friendly service of the owner makes the place amazing.

Room Tip: Do request for rooms with air-con if you are going in the Summer. There are some rooms without air-c...

Dear JM_0204. Thankyou for your kind comments about our little motel. We love interacting with our guests and are keen to share our love of the South Coast with them. Your tip about the air-con was very good. Our standard rooms are not air conditioned, although we hope to change that in the next few weeks. We have just completed installing air conditioners and digital TVs in our deluxe rooms. Best wishes, Garry and Jeni
