Me and my girlfriend loves the place and we enjoy how they treat us here. We plan to go back here soon maybe next year or next month since we love the place. It is best for wedding prenup since the place is very filipino. I can say this is the counterpart of Venice Italy hehe.

Room tip: I guess the televisions reception should check as well

My family of four stayed here for four nights and five days which we found was too long.

Yes, buildings are exactly as seen in pictures. After walking the entire place, that’s pretty much it.
They are beautiful but there’s no real history with the houses apart from one original house there and the rest replicas.
I guess our family is not the type who’s very keen to get the great shot for Instagram.
We just a wanted relaxing environment and experience something different, this wasn’t the case.

We understand December is the busiest time of the year.
However, there were no system for smoother check in process.
Some guest received their welcome drinks. In our case we didn’t.
Several people jumping in line to check in. Not enough staff are able to assist on the floor to direct coming guest.
Had to fight my way through to receive luggage assistance and shuttle.
I’m pregnant at the time and wasn’t allowed to check in an hour early despite being confirmed the room is ready.
We were directed to wait at the only restaurant that was open (as the other two were shut and reopens later for dinner) - caught the shuttle bus for this.
Waited for a table for an hour and shuttle bus back to reception.

Room looked exactly like the picture. We booked one of two beds which was situated in the ‘Escolta’ building. Third level.
Maintenance issues (yes we are in the provinces) arose but still overpriced for what you get.
Bathroom window broken, mosquito fest!
Sink draining blocked.
Television provided was too small.
Phone wasn’t working in the room.
You have to text a mobile number for assistance, maintenance or housekeeping.
Switch where you put your key card for the power to work was very lose and electricity kept tripping every 5minutes.

Called the maintenance for the switch issue three times.
We found majority of staff are money hungry. I do apologise, no other way to say this.
By the fourth time we called maintenance, two people taped switch and whispered in their language (they thought we didn’t understand them) that they didn’t come as we didn’t tip the first time.
We always tip.
Why would we tip for something that is supposed to be working?
The other was the towel guy by the pool.
Despite spending so much money in this place, we were asked to pay separately for other amenities including seeing one of the houses.

Beach was really good.
This is the only part we enjoyed.
Pool was always dirty and not very well maintained.
I am a non smoker but what I hated was that they have strict non smoking policy all around the resort area which was good but smokers are directed to smoke at the beach - with no cigarette butt disposal provided. Butts are scattered all around - isn’t the ocean what we’re protecting?

they closed off all restaurants during New Year’s Eve. We had no choice but to avail their buffet at PHP 2,800 per person and half for the children who only ate a plate.
There are no nearby shops and restaurants if you go out at all.
So if you don’t have a vehicle like us, you’re stuck.

Famous balsa river only lasted for 10mins which will cost you PHP 500 per head including young children. You can’t even hear what the boat driver was saying about the place.
Tours were all explained in Tagalog. Those poor Caucasian guest does not know what’s going on.

I’ll stop from here.
I do apologise for the guest that had great experience here unfortunately we didn’t.
It was good to see what was there but it’s something we won’t be coming back for.

It was really hard to go to the location via commuting since it is far away and transport bus has schedules. But all the travel was worth it.

We booked an overnight stay and really wished we could extend the stay for another day of time travel..
A quick afternoon tour was very informative of the history of the houses that were re-built there as well as the people who lived in it. It really felt like we were from an era long ago, even the staff were appropriately dressed.. I love the feeling while walking the roads that looked like the ones in Intramuros.. The houses were perfectly built and copied.. Great architecture, great place to relax, and a great experience of the heritage of the past.

the old houses were beautifully lit up during the night and a night stroll makes the place feel enchanting.. an evening at the pool while watching the stars is awesome too..

Room tip: Casa near the fountain is quieter at night since its away from the pool and the beach.

A must see place! A chance to sleep in heritage home with all the trimmings of a hotel room. Beach side bar was an excellent place for drinks & food. Heritage homes and building light up beautifully at night..
