Having stayed at the Sands once before I found it to be very convenient as a base to stay whilst working at Port Botany. The staff are fun, friendly and helpful and the value and food quality was very good.
The rooms could do with a refurbish but they are clean tidy and quiet.

Reasonably priced for Eastern Suburbs. Generous sized room with comfortable bedding and good security. However, facilites were a little tired - TV and alarm clock radio not working, bathroom towels only just adequate and could be updated.

You always know when you are in a good hotel/motel by the attitude of staff. The Sands is a happy and staff friendly place and that makes it ideal to stay there - comfortable, conveniently located in Sydney's east, easy to get to and from to almost all of the rest of Sydney. I've been a regular for about ten years which says something doesn't it.

Room Tip: Go for the odd numbered rooms. Better bathrooms and in summer the airconditioner is better placed.

Well priced for the Eastern Suburbs and friendly service from the staff. Rooms are quite big and bathrooms are modern - both are clean and comfortable. I've stayed a few times but yet to try the bistro - smells great though! Only issue would be no complimentary small milk capsules to go with the tea and coffee supplied (although Woolies is next door..) and some rooms have very old TV's. Handy location and plenty of parking around so overall a pleasant stay each visit.

Thank you for the opportunity to congratulate your staff, especially Katie and Christine.
These girls could not have been more helpful to a female travelling alone, on my journey home i thought of sending a thank you card, i was overwhelmed by their compassion, it is was a lasting impression that lifted my spirits. Just missed the breakfasts.
Only down side, it was ever so hard for the Cabbie to find the Motel Entrance

I spend my working life travelling the World from the USA, UK, France, Italy, Ireland, Spain and Australia. But I have to say the Pizza's at the Sands Hotel are the best I'v ever had. On top of that they put a $10 discount voucher in your room each night, so the cost is very good too. The only downside is 'happy hour', some of the bar staff charge $4 for a beer, which is the correct price, and others charge $5 ?? I would stay again, overall Very Good!!
