“Got the Location...not the Lobster Stew”

Sea Gull Restaurant
Ranked #2 of 2 Restaurants in Pemaquid
Cuisines: Seafood
Description: Our front yard is the rugged, beautiful, rocky Maine coast. Our next-door neighbor is one of the most photographed spots in the world, the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. You can take a break from your explorations of Lighthouse Park to stroll over to the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy it amidst this spectacular scenery. We offer fresh seafood, local eggs and garden-fresh fruits and vegetables and, of course, for breakfast you owe it to yourself to try our world-famous blueberry pancakes. The Gift Shop carries souvenirs, nautical items, photos and paintings, and fine gifts to recall a visit to the ocean, Maine, and Pemaquid Point. Many of our items are hand crafted by Maine artisans. And, on many summer days you may meet one of our craftspeople as they demonstrate their craft and display their artwork on the lawn of The Sea Gull.

“Got the Location...not the Lobster Stew”
Reviewed October 8, 2011

A very small restaurant connected to a gift shop directly across from the Lighthouse. Went with the Lobster stew as it was a cold overcast Fall day. It lacked taste and had a few small chewy pieces of lobster. I hate to rate it poor because the wait staff were friendly and efficient but the view couldn't override that we were there for food. Didn't trust that any other options weren't too far away and needed to eat something but wish we had a picnic lunch with us or just wanted ice cream on a summer day.

“Great view, and the food wasn't bad either”
Reviewed August 26, 2011

We went for lunch on a gorgeous day after exploring the lighthouse and rocks. The view is fantastic. Even if you don't have a window table, the place is so tiny that you can still see out. She had the lobster roll, which was quite good. He had the Booty Burger (hamburger with sauteed onions, peppers, and mushrooms, with bleu cheese sauce) which was also very good. We noticed that folks at an adjacent table had a side of sweet potato fries, which was enormous, more than enough for the two of them to share. Be sure to save room for the excellent Gifford's ice cream. They also have an extensive breakfast menu. A bonus: if you want, you can order from the same menu and take your food outside and eat it at picnic tables or on the rocks. No alcohol served.

“Ocean views, excellent food and shopping while you wait”
Reviewed June 14, 2011

If you go in the evening, make reservations for the window tables.

This small restaurant had a fun atmosphere, wonderful views of the ocean coast and terrific, fresh seafood. Other selections if you are not a seafood eater. There were 5 of us that ate different dishes and they were all wonderful.
