Verry small room, they tried to switch us to a smaller studio room (which would have been closett size) view of other buildings only. Wasted nearly 2 hours, only gave us room we ordered after we insisted on them contacting manager (who was away), they offered book of dicount vouchers to make up, total waste- then they said we would recieve $200 dinner voucher- misled again it was an invite to a time share sales presentaion which goes for hours and maybe then you get a voucher-- told them to forget it, went next door to the Gemini and booked 10 days in may, better price great rooms and cheaper!! Breakfast was provided in a paperbag.

Room Tip: insist on a front facing not side facing room, min 10 floors up.

Stayed for 3 nights in a King Spa oceanview studio room, the views from the room on the 10th floor were magnificent of the pumistone passage, the spa itself is quite small though, breakfast was adequate, location was about 15 minute walk along the beach front to the Caloundra CBD. Across the road there is 2 rstaurant a Thai and Italian part of package was dinner for 2 at the Italian restaurant, nothing flash about the restaurant but the food was good. There is actually a Thai restaurant attached to the resort but you do pay an increased price for the dishes, we ate at a little Thai reatsaurant run by a hai family across the road the food was excellent.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a 1 bedroom as Studio rooms are quite small

A very professional, friendly welcome. Great accommodation. I have stayed in 5 star hotels which are not close to the standard of this resort. There is a mall shopping centre opposite with a supermarket, eateries, medical etc. Very quiet, beautiful scenery from balcony, courtesy bus services to clubs. All facilities to cook own meals if required. Breakfast avail at eateries opposite if required. The only criticism is that a couple of bar stools would complete the furniture. Excellent value.

The first impression of the hotel was very favorable with a classy reception and very friendly staff. Parking wasn't a problem in the secure car park underneath the building with plenty of trolleys available to move luggage to the room via the lifts which are are quiet and fast. The rooms are a little smaller than I expected however are fine for a couple with a nice touch being the plantation blinds that surround the bedroom. Great deck with good furniture to take in the views of the Pumicestone Passage, ocean and Caloundra further north. The pool looked great with a few swimming however I didn't get the chance to get there. A short ($10) taxi ride to the Caloundra RSL which offers a huge range of facilities offered value meals and entertainment. Overall, I'd be happy to stay there again.

Golden beach is a different suburb to Caloundra - Golden Beach is south along the Esplanade.
The studio room is compact sufficient for a couple. Pool is good and heated.
Stove is only 2 jets. Studio Spa bath is small - really one person.
Room was clean, tidy, comfortable. Balcony has deck furniture - great for absorbing the view. Rooms faces due east so sunrise is very bright.
Small shops, Spa mini 'supermarket ' + takeaway + chemist in block behind.
Underground parking fills quickly. Then outdoor parking adjacent tennis court.
Staff efficient & helpful. Ask for 'after hours ' access if arriving after 8pm - do check reception hours.
Lovely flat 1.8k walk along the surfless beach to caloundra.
Golden Beach is more of a lake - there is no surf.

Room Tip: ask for beach view room above level 5 - 6. Below then there are beach front trees.

We stayed two nights and wished it could have been longer. The view of the Pumicestone Passage and Caloundra is lovely, could only have been better if weather kinder to us. I loved the spa bath, and will return because of those two things. It was lousy weather so did not try the pool, but will do so next time. You cannot fault the staff, and the reception area is very pleasing. The only downside is the lack of underground parking - but it is wettest July for 106 years, so should be right next time. The studio was small but well equipped and fine for our needs.

Room Tip: Think our room for 710, and would recommend it.

Great location as right on the pumicestone passage waterway. Wonderful view from my room. I asked for a room on the top level, I was happy to pay a little extra to get this, and for an extra $20 per night I was given a room on the highest floor. The room itself was quite adequate. However I think I would not re-book at this hotel as it is very much for families with small or pre-teen children, and there was a lot of noise all day from the pool - we had to keep the balcony doors closed for much of the time.
The reception staff were very satisfactory, and the in-house Thai restaurant served very nice food.

Room Tip: You can offer to pay a little extra to receive a room on the high floors - thus a better view and a...
