We purchased 3 nights at the panviman on the internet. We had just stayed at the most amazing homestay in a small village , which we loved, the wonderful owner agreed to drive us to the Panviman. It was one of the most comfortable, luxurious resorts we have stayed in. The staff at the restaurant where marvelous a special note of thanks goes to Thanmika who never failed to be happy and helpful. We where upgraded to a mountain view room and it was spectacular. Put this resort on your list, it will not disappoint. Expect a climb as its built into a mountain but a buggy will pick you up within minutes of calling one.oh and treat yourself to a spa, heaven.....

Room Tip: Depending on your energy level , go high as the views are out of this world. No noise from the outsi...

The beds were rock hard and we were put in a musty mildewed room on the wet side of the resort downstairs. we were told the resort was fully booked but it appeared very few patrons were there when we were there. There was a very expensive hotel shuttle into Chang Mai and it was a good hour away from Chang Mai.

a very beautiful resort but not managed well. when we asked about yoga etc they had to get staff from Chang Mai to teach it and they had cooking classes but we were told they lasted 30 minutes!!

Room Tip: ask for one overlooking the pool

I stayed at Panviman Koh Phangan a few weeks ago and loved it. So for my Chiang Mai trip I tried another Panviman resort. This was a good decision, as the resort is at the top of a hill among mountains and overlooking a valley. The views are amazing, especially from the dining area. We had a normal room with a great view to begin with, but after a water issue we were upgraded to a villa. The villa didn't have the same view, but it was enormous and gorgeous with a large terrace and outdoor jacuzzi.

We rented a car from the airport so we could explore Chiang Mai on our own. The resort has parking and a buggy or tuk-tuk meets you at the car park, takes your bags and you to the lobby for check-in. Then you can either walk up the hill to your room or take the tuk-tuk.

The food is great as well. I wasn't too impressed by the breakfast, but lunch was delicious. We ordered a few northern Thai dishes and loved each one.

The service here is good but not great. However, everyone has a smile and tries to help. Perhaps with a little more training they would be great.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Panviman. The facilities are excellent, catering to anything we would want to do. The most difficult part of staying at Panviman was deciding whether to stay at the resort or go sightseeing. It's the kind of place where you just want to relax all day.

I found this place from google and it attracted me to stay there. The place is satisfied that may from myself I like the nature view and nice weather, but the distance is a bit far from Chiangmai Town and the less of activities in or nearby resort or may nobody give me the right suggestions that I just knew after what about many interesting place around hotel like a northern village, a farm and too many. The staffs are not helpful enough may be I'm Asian. However, I like to overall of hotel charectors.

Where can i start?! Panviman is about an hour out of Chiang Mai city but SO worth the travel. We stayed 4 days and didn't want to leave. The view is just magnificent and you really feel far away from reality in this beautiful spa resort. The staff went out of their way to talk to us and make sure we had everything we needed and gave us heaps of local knowledge. I will recommend this place to everyone and look forward to staying there again!

Room Tip: We stayed in a basic mountain view room and it was all we needed!
