"Waou"...Superb high luxury service. Everything from the Staff, to the property, pavillion, amenities, activities and pool was perfect.

Dont hesitate a second, this is one of those few gems in the world offering a TRUE luxury service up to the value paid.

Staff was gentle and kind, always helpful and trying to do their best. A special thanks to Mrs Chutikarn and Mrs Pang for their warm welcome.
Pool side was amazing, overlooking the rice fields where we could observe the beautiful water buffalos. This was a heaven of tranquility and peace.
The Pavillion with its terrasse was beautiful. Overlooking the resort, felt we were hanging in the trees!
The garden is well-manicured, having walks around the property and in the rice fields was a real treat for the soul.

The only problem with this hotel...You cant stand any other hotel afterwards!!!
To avoid being disappointed for the rest of our trip in Thailand we made last minute change and booked ourselves in the Four Seasons Kho Samui to end up our tip!

Nicely done, they made us completely addicted to the Four Saesons!!!

Room Tip: On the 2 stories pavillons, 2nd floor pavillons are the best.

The was my second visit to the resort - my first being 10 years ago -
The staff is amazing, the service - remembering my name - the attentiveness - like you're the only guest...
The pictures show how beautiful - it's the intangibles that make it magical - from a great trip to the spa to have a Chakra Blessed (?) to arranging an evening lantern release...
The location is far from town, but they have a shuttle service....
I can't wait to go back a third time...

Room Tip: They're all good!!!

An outstanding property and hotel, from the location, the views, the amenities and the service by some if the best hotel employees I have ever come across. Located a while away from Chiang Mai (but there is a free shuttle bus) in the mindset of rice paddies. The location is also closer to other sightseeing possibilities such as the Hill Tribes. It is so tranquil, , that I feel after a few days I have been completely over hauled and am ready for city life. There is a very good spa, with large treatment rooms, a very full menu and very good therapists. For bit of exercise walk the grounds, have a dip in a pool laid into the rice paddies or use the gym. 2 restaurants offer both local and international dishes, which I found very tasty and nicely presented. Room service is delivered quickly, including the tray pick up and housekeeping do a very thorough clean and organise the room as if you have just checked in again. The employees of the Four Seasons are exceptional, from remembering everyone's name, to what you ordered before, knowing what table you would like to sit at and all going above and beyond. Yes there are hotels closer to the city, but why would you bother? It's enough to go in one day, then perhaps book a driver to see the surrounds and the remainder if the time spent in this glorious property.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the rice paddies offer great views all day, at night see the fire lanterns burning, ver...

Great hotel, very good service. both restaurants are pretty good. the cooking class is a must try.

however, if you want to spend more time in chiang mai city, recommend to take one of those boutique hotels for one or two nights. four season is pretty far from the city (45 mins)

Room Tip: all pavilion rooms are same except the view. so no need to upgrade unless you really really want to...

The Chiang Mai Four Seasons was our first stop on a three leg, all Four Seasons, Thailand vacation. The grounds are beautiful and transport you to a rural Thai landscape, while you're only 20 minutes from town. Riding the resident water buffalo was a warm up for the elephants we'd meet at FS Golden Triangle Camp. The staff were gracious, warm, and helpful. The Concierge arranged a run into town for us to explore the old city, and a half day trip to Doi Suthep Temple. The spacious room amply suited our family (2 adults and son, age 12). The Lanna Spa (see separate review) was a super cure for jet lag. And our comfy beds, dark room, and resort quiet helped us get on Thai Time within 2 days. Another score for the Four Seasons -- these remote destinations keep us looking for new sites to explore.

Decent hotel but too far away from the city. Making day trips take longer than they should. The restaurants also both need a ton of work. Basically not a lot of value here, the massages and restaurants in chiang mai are much better and cost about 1/10th as much.
