This was an amazing hotel and we were very sad to leave. The service was great and we really cannot describe how on-point it is - not syrupy where you felt bothered, but just the right amount of personal attention. We wished we could have stayed longer!!

Also had a shuttle to the main downtown area, which was convenient.

This was an euexpected treat. The grounds were unbelievebly well done. The atmosphere was as relaxing and calming as any I've ever been to. The service was expeptional. It was like staying in a painting. I wish I had stayed longer.

Room Tip: our room overlooked a pond, rice patties, water buffialo and native looking huts.

we had the pleasure of visiting the four seasons, chian mai during late september 2012. we had a three bedroom bunglow which was upgraded to a four bedroom on arrival, which is always good. travelling with two young kids, it was absultely amazing how well the resident staff took care of the kids. the only area we found the property lacking was the time and wuality of room service in the residents section. unless it was cooked in the on siite kitchen, the delivery from the main hotel took far too long. that said, the poperty is fabulous, the service impecabble. the bunglows are ultra private and well kept. the amenities are of the highest class. the buggy service to the main building arrives at the drop of a hat. before you can think it, the staff takes care of you every need. loved it, the kids loved it. very relaxing and laid back.

Room Tip: we had a three bedroom bunglow in the resdents section, so do not know much about the main hotel bui...

Each villa is well situated to take advantage of the surroundings. As in the similar resort in Ubud Bali, you can walk everywhere although golf carts are always available. Terrace restaurant overlooks lake and surrounding countryside, and personnel are quick to remember your name.

We stayed at the gorgeous Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai built on the edge of an ancient rice paddy surrounded by lush gardens with swimming pools and views of distant mountains. Water buffalo wander the grounds with their keepers. We travelled with Globetrotting Gourmet a specialist company based in Australia that organises food and cultural trips for small groups to Thailand, Vietnam and Burma. A hands-on cooking class followed by dinner in the airy school pavilion with locally-born chef Pirun Pumicome was one of the highlights. We enjoyed a rather elegant picnic "farmer's lunch" after a rice planting demonstration. On a market tour we learned about local spices and exotic herbs and tried the local spicy fried noodle dish.

Room Tip: Try to stay in one of the villas or pavilions that have their "feet in the water" above th...

My co-employees just finished touring several resorts and hotels in Thailand and without a doubt i could easily say that Four Seasons is on top of my list. The view from the balcony was truly breathtaking and the structures were all designed in such a way that you would feel very relaxed. The staff always had smiles on their faces. Wonderful place, a tru paradise!

I took my advertureous teen age son and his friend to this resort. The staff were excellent - allowing the boys to think they were escaping off , while quietly keeping an eye on everything. Everyting was sumptuous in our beautiful retreat.
