Stayed 2 nights here with son in double room. Enthusiastic greetings from hosts, lovely attic room (shower a bit feeble) and excellent breakfast. Fresh home-made bread every day, with porridge + local kippers / Full english breakfast.

Excellent local pubs for dinner and 10 minutes from Bovingdon Tank Museum.

(£65 per night - double room + breakfast)

This is the best B&B we’ve come across anywhere. The farmhouse itself is a beautiful old Purbeck stone building and has three letting rooms. Annette, the hostess, is one of the nicest people you could meet and she serves superb breakfasts and looks after the place very well indeed – it’s always spotless. The biggest - deluxe - room is by far the best as it it huge and well appointed, but I should think it's the most popular, but all the rooms are nicely furnished and decorated.

We’ve stayed there several times in the last couple of years and it’s almost becoming a home from home, except that so many people know how good it is that it’s sometimes hard to get a booking!

You used to have to drive to Church Knowle for the nearest evening meal - no hardship as the New Inn serves good food - but Annette's family have now taken on the local shop across the road and turned it into a really nice little restaurant, so there is somewhere to eat on the doorstep for dinner now. We had a couple of meals there and they were excellent. A nicely chosen menu with everything freshly home cooked, and a pleasant atmosphere.

The location is great too, the farmhouse is at the top of Kimmeridge village and just a pleasant mile walk to the bay, where fossils can be seen in the rocks. This part of Purbeck is one of the UK’s most beautiful locations, with good walking both easy and strenuous and of course lots of nearby places to visit.

Kimmeridge Farmhouse is a comfortable home-from-home. We stayed there in October (our second visit). The bedroom was very spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfasts are good too. There is even a lounge area for guests with walking books and recommendations for evening meals. Try the New Inn pub in Church Knowle - the food is really good and it is only a short drive away. The walking in the area is excellent. The local bay is a pleasant walk away through fields. From here there are excellent coastal works along the cliff tops in both directions and inland to Corfe Castle, where the National Trust shop serves good afternoon teas!

This is a 14th centurary farmhouse in a small village which is within 1 mile of the southwest coast path.Wonderful sea and rural views.

The room was spotless and very comfortable. Good breakfast.A welcome offer of tea and cake on arrival.

Good position for walking, near excellent local pubs in which to eat. Also near Monkey world, Poole/Studland and Lulworth.
