This village is well known for hummus and is easy to get to from the main road.
It's crazy, I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants. But the hummus and falafel at this little hole in the wall is so unbelievably good I rate it up there with the best of the best in restaurant meals. And was the culinary highlight of my recent trip. This is the second time have eaten in Abu Ghosh (first time was a few years ago and in another restaurant before I was reviewing on tripadvisor). My reaction the first time on being served a whole plate of hummus was that this was going to be a boring meal. but it was unlike anything have ever had before and better than anything I can find in the US.
The hummus is so tasty it is a completely different food to what we are used to. And the falafels are fresh and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a wonderful taste. A really fun experience. I already want to go back.
