Third stay here, as usual the standards are outstanding. The attention to detail is great and the welcome very warm. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. The restaurant provides really lovely, tasty and top quality food. Again the staff are wonderful and make the evening an enjoyable time.
When you are there you must visit the spa...... The treatments are very good and well priced.... Natalie is a true professional, makes you very welcome and comfortable throughout your time there and highly experienced at her craft.

This was a planned stopover on a long journey, but always try to find a non-chain hotel when possible. The odd comment on here about being 'run down' are people not really understanding that not all hotels are new & shiny. Indeed this hotel boasts genuine patina of age and has been sympathetically renovated using lots of original or I imagine reclaimed materials. This means it is full of character. It was a family home for decades and there are fascinating photo's and history on display in the entrance hall. Old buildings and properties are always ongoing works. It is very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Genuine customer service. The food was beautifully cooked and the surroundings are lovely. The library is brilliant with lots of fascinating old books on various subjects. There is a DVD player and a stack of DVD's if you want plus up to date magazines. All the things you won't find in a chain hotel. It is very welcoming and one feels comfortable immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

We loved this place. Fabulous building in superb grounds. Our room was spotless and had great attention to detail. Realised the food would be good when I saw there were only a few choices on the menu (meaning freshly cooked). It was excellent. Service was good too. We would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

My husband and I got married at Prested Hall in May 2011. I stayed overnight the night before with my mum and my bridesmaids and had afternoon tea and dinner. We had such a wonderful time and the staff were excellent and could not do enough for us. I think these days you don't often come across such good manners and customer service - it goes a long way. We were served by an older gentleman if I can call him that - really sorry I didn't ask his name but he was just so brilliant - he served us tea, dinner and breakfast the next morning and we all thought he was fantastic.

As for the wedding day itself well it was just perfect and I could not find any fault at all. It was very well run and organised and once again the staff were just brilliant and it was so nice that we didn't feel like 'just another wedding'. People still go on about how amazing the food was - the canapes, the wedding meal, the evening buffet (which was a massive hit) and also the breakfast the next day. All the guests that stayed over for the wedding night as well could not praise the rooms enough as they are spacious and full of character.

The grounds were just perfect for pituresque beautiful wedding photos that we will cherish forever - our wedding at Prested Hall was more than we could have ever hoped for.

Since having our wedding there we have been back with various friends and family for afternoon teas which are divine and such good value for money.

We just had our first anniversary and we went back to Prested Hall to spend the night in the bridal suite and have dinner and breakfast. So lovely we can do that and we hope to do that for years to come! Once again staff were excellent - food was amazing and of course the views - stunning.

I cannot praise this venue enough, I really can't.

Room Tip: For extra romance book the bridal suite - there is a double bath. This also is great if you are heav...

I recently hosted a small conference at Prested Hall for my business club. There were 8 delegates who all stayed at the hall and enjoyed dinner the night before the seminar, which was an all day event. They all loved the rooms and the food and, in particular, the delegate who is on a gluten free diet was very impressed with the options available to him. One of the other members said it was the best hotel breakfast he'd ever had. I can only concur with their comments.

The staff were very friendly and helpful as usual and the whole event was topped off by being able to take lunch outside in the sunshine by the pond. The atmosphere is of a relaxed country house and is a world away from the usual business hotel 'chain' experience, as well as being excellent value. Highly recommended

We spent a night at Prested Hall to attend a friend's wedding nearby. The staff were friendly and efficient. Afternoon tea was to die for and breakfast excellent. Our room had fantastic views over the grounds and was probably the most comfortable and relaxing we have visited in the UK. What we appreciated most was that it wasn't a chain, had lots of character and felt like at home.

Stayed here for my best friends wedding, from the moment we arrived the staff were polite and very efficient. The Main banqueting room was clean, spacious and nicely decoatated for a old building. The food was very tasty and hot which is sometimes hard with large tables or people. The bar I thought was very reasonable for a JD & coke £3.10 and vodka & coke £3.15 but a large wine was £6 which is quiet expensive. The evening buffet had a great selection of food and was tasty too.

As quiet a few were staying we were allowed to stay drinking in the Lounge area which was great especially during the week.

We had the attic room which had two rooms in and was very cosy and clean. There was water, plenty of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits and the breakfast was very good too.

The blonde wedding co-ordinator was lovely and made the planning for my friend a lot easier. She is a credit to Prested Hall.

The only downfall that the venue needs to address would be the flooding at the front of the building, with one night of heavy rainfall the carpark flooded. But there was an announcement by a member of staff warning about what might happen. In the morning a gentlemen offered to retrieve the cars in water to save the guests getting wet, which was a nice gesture and made the problem no where near as bad.
