“Useful if you are waiting for the ferry.”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

I read some good reviews before deciding to eat here. I was a little disappointed. It was pleasant enough but nothing out of the ordinary. My husband enjoyed his fresh fish and my beef burger was OK but nothing special and I have eaten very special burgers. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“Useful if you are staying at Moyglare House”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Good pub food, nothing exceptional. Service can be slow if the pub is busy, which is was on our first visit. Food was well cooked and came to the table hot. The steak was excellent quality and almost melted in the mouth. The seafood chowder was also good and almost a meal in itself. Good range of beers and cider. We didn't try the wine list, so can't comment.

“Warm Welcome”
Reviewed December 15, 2011

I was here with Family after my husbands funeral. From the moment we entered we were made very welcome. It was warm and cosy on a very cold evening and the service was excellent. Although we didnt have mains there was no problem and the starters and desserts were super . We had a very relaxed evening and didn't feel that we were being rushed. We'll definatly be back.

“Delicious food and a very welcoming atmosphere”
Reviewed September 14, 2011

We visited this pub/restaurant during a holiday in Ireland. It is conveniently located in a small village, both near to Wexford town and Rosslare ferry port.

The owner, Padraig, was very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable. The staff were all extremely helpful and polite.

We had no complaints at all about the food - steak was delicious!

Also worth noting is how friendly the locals in the pub were. They were also keen to make us feel welcome and were actually entertaining!

To sum up: not a bad word to say - make sure you pay a visit next time you're in the area!
