How could this restaurant not already be on Trip Advisor, as it is one of the better places to dine in Pottsville? On our recent visit yesterday (before driving back to Brisbane), the service was friendly, casual and prompt. We decided to sit in the warmth next to the kitchen and watch the kitchen staff at work. For entrée we shared the mixed selection (calamari rings, chicken satay skewers, curry puffs and spring rolls - 2 of each) along with four sauces which was all served within a very reasonable time period. For the main course we selected Penang Pork and coconut rice to share. The Penang contained plenty of tender pork, fresh vegetables and a thick rich flavoured sauce, and a generous rice serving. After we finished the meal the chef asked if we would try a free sample of a special desert that was being prepared at the special request of a previous customer for tomorrow night. I can state the black rice pudding (not usually on the menu) was warm and delicious. (We would actually consider ordering this dessert again, though would have to remember to order when booking). While the restaurant has very basic décor, it is situated on the main street of Pottsville that has plenty of parking. The food the restaurant produces is very good and the staff care about their customers. In reality it is a budget priced meal that isn't budget priced quality (our meal on this occasion cost just under $40 and fed two people and it could have easily fed a third). The restaurant provides the Pottsville community a popular eat in and take-away service. (Be aware that this restaurant is only open for dinner, 7 days a week). For the diner, the restaurant has mainly outdoor seating (with a few portable heaters) and a few tables indoors. My husband and I have been dining at this restaurant for the last few years when we visit the Tweed Coast region and will continue to do so.
