Owner description: The falls, in the northern half of Yoho park, drop 833 ft -- making it one of the highest waterfalls in Canada. The falls are spectacular in early summer, when melting snow and ice provide ample runoff.

Not alot to write aside from if you are in YOHO you would be a fool to miss this. Beautiful falls, tranquil scenery and perfect for pictures.

“Wow ! Breathtaking and loud ...”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

We discovered by mistake but have to admit what a place !! The drive to the falls is very scenic and so are the actual falls . They are loud and majestic and everything you would want the second highest falls in the Rockies to be . If you have time do the ice line trail a well to see the glacier that feeds the falls !!

“Fantastic area for Hiking and Sightseeing”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

This area is one of the Best in the Banff area for Hiking. There are many trails for day hikes or overnight trips. The Scenery is Spectacular. I hiked from Takakkaw Falls along the Yoho River to Laughing Falls, up to the Iceline via Celeste Lake, along Iceline to Yoho Pass and down to Emerald Lake. This is about a 23 km hike that passes many beautiful sights.

“Now This is a Waterfall”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

So many of the waterfalls were a disappointment. But this one is worth the visit. This is a good place to spend a couple minutes.

“Beautiful Falls!!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

Nice drive up from the Trans - Canadian Hwy to get to these falls. These falls are twice as high as Niagara Falls in New York @ 1250 feet. It's a Cree Indian name meaning "magnificent" Nice hike up to the falls and is well worth seeing!!
