“Friendly with great local food”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

The owners have an amazing location right on top of Hyams Beach.
Staff were extremely friendly and the menu is varied, using mostly locally-sourced ingredients - and with great vegetarian options.
Prices are not cheap but not unreasonable.

“Lovely little cafe by the beach”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

The only place in Hyams Beach to get food, coffee - and they do it well. Great for fish and chips or a light meal - mostly lunches, but dinners too in summer. No view of the beach, but a nice atmosphere. And close to the beach so you can pop in for a smoothie or freshly squeezed juice on your way back from the beach.

“Great Beach Cafe”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

This is such a lovely place to come, always feel welcome, and after only being there once, the waitstaff remembered my coffee order on the second morning!!! It's the only cafe in the small village, but worth going back to for any meal/coffee you've got time for. Beware though, it can get extremely busy on weekends!!! Quite a change from weekdays, but although it was a longer wait, it was still reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone, looking forward to going back during my next visit to the area

“Again, terrible service”
Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

I've just waited 20 minutes for my coffee. The chef was able to make my bacon and eggs in the same time. Cafe busy? No. I'm motivated to write this because during my wait I watched as the "barista" casually wandered around, chatted and laughed with locals.
There's "friendly" and then there's lazy and slack.
Fill orders first then chat. This is a business. Isn't it? Maybe a hobby.
It's a lovely village in a beautiful location.
Maybe have your breaky in huskisson then visit Hyams.

“"ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE"”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

Been to this cafe a few times before..the reason for returning this time was its been great in the past for a decent breakfast...."NEVER AGAIN"!!!!!
Firstly after receiving Poached eggs on toast ($9) with bacon, mushrooms, spinach, beans(all extra) and thought i would order a side(if you can call it that) of chorizo($4.50)...3 thin slices of chorizo is all i got...questioned the polite waitress about this..she took plate back to kitchen and questioned the chef?(cook) about it..she politely returned back to our table and said the chorizo is expensive and thats all that is given(asked myself "what the most expensive chorizo in the world at about $50 a kilo") but the chef?(cook) will put a few extra pieces on a plate for you(obviously thinking that she thinks its a rip off as well!!! Side plate came out about 3 minutes later and to my disgust the chorizo was raw...sent it back to kitchen, but no returning to explain why?.ok then!!..finished our breakfast, got up for a short stroll to till to pay, got to till still no mention of raw chorizo, suggested the chorizo be taken off bill, considering we ate everything else we thought that was quite a reasonable request?? No!!!!! Must be ok to serve raw chorizo and initially rip people off for the mouthful of chorizo they serve....and to our absolute shock as we walked off, out through the front door, we heard from the blonde at the til "what an A__hole"...
Now i have been called a few things in my life but for an establishment to think serving RAW chorizo sausage without doing or saying anything about it, is ok in the customer service world we live in, they need to be put down a peg or two in the "F.I.G.J.A.M" world they live in
