“Beautiful Place in a relaxing village”
Reviewed April 30, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

This rental is truly a labor of love-Tiziano has done all the stonework to make this an outstanding property. We wanted to enjoy Italy away from the crowds, and this was perfect. Tiziano helped us with arranging a couple of excursions. Great restaurants just steps away and the people of the village are very friendly. You do need a car, and the drive up the mountain roads is "exciting", but once there it is a lovely location. Tiziano also provided wine, bread and meat for a welcome snack.

We wanted someplace quite for the middle week of our 3 weeks in Italy and found Tizianos place. It was in a small town, great hiking nearby, apartment was satisfactory, not great but passable. There was a nice and large living room, kitchen and two bedrooms with their own baths. He does have two large dogs but at our request he put them away for the day we were there.

Place could use a little TLC from a cleanliness perspective especially the fridge.

“A gem in the Aperninne's so close to everywhere”

We stayed here as a base for 6 nights to travel around Emilia Romagna. The house was amazing and on our quiet days you can read a book swinging in the hammock and a dip in the pool.
Basically 30 - 60 minutes to Modena ,Parma and Bologna. The area is surrounded by cherry and apricot farms and vineyards. A very pretty spot to escape to. The house was stunning with all its stone work and all amenities including a full kitchen for cooking.

“A Gem In The Hills”

Booked this villa as we wanted to visit the motor museums and towns in the area with our 2 sons who are in their early twenties. The photos are true to the villa which has been modernised beautifully and has a large garden with patio and pool. The owner greeted us with home made bruschetta which was the best we have tasted. He was there on hand looking after the garden and maintaining the pool. The villa itself was lovely and cool with plenty of space and the bathrooms have their own original style with great showers, our bed was a bit hard for us, but may suit others. It was clean, tidy and very well kept and it is located just off the main 'high street' so everything is within walking distance in the village. Guiglia itself sits on the top of a hill and has a great view of the 'plains' below from the village's viewpoint. It has a a small number of shops for your essentials, a hotel, a gelateria, a couple of restaurants - the one just up the road is excellent, a castle like building and a beautiful church. If you want a larger supermarket the town of Vignola is 20 minutes away which also has a castle and also sells great gelato. If you are looking for a villa that is close to Moderna, Bologna and the various motor museums then this is perfect. It is also very well placed for cyclists and walkers. Highly recommended and Tiziano is a great owner, our request for single beds without end boards was accommodated (our sons are 6ft 4 inches).

Liked best: The villa was great, but the outside space a bonus
Liked least: The beds were a bit hard for us, but may suit others. More kitchen crockery required. The slight smell of dog mess around the perimeter.

We stopped here for 5 nights whilst visiting the various car museums in the area. Amazing house with wonderful and interesting features.
Tiziano the owner made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble for him.
Will definitely go back.
