We had the room with a big balcony facing the lake-very promising for having a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset. The location is nice both in respect to the lake at dining places. The breakfast is a bit plain for its 12 EUR per person-but the pastry is very tasty indeed. The terrase for breakfast is another place for relaxation and meditation. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We just got back from a long weekend at the Auberge des Salles in the Gorge du Verdon area. We had an absolutely wonderful time. We have 2 kids (8 and 5 yo) and stayed in a family room, which was clean and comfortable and plenty big enough for all of us. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a wonderful location -- you can easily walk to 2 different lake beaches, where there are plenty of things to do (swimming, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, fishing) and you can rent Hobie cats, sailboards, stand-up paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, and pedal-os. Our kids had a great time trying out these different activities. We also rented an electric boat and went up the gorge (but you have to drive 5 minutes out of Les Salles). At the end of each day, we enjoyed a cold drink on the hotel patio with truly spectacular views. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Anyway, I highly recommend this place.

Room tip: ask for lake view

the hotel is located at great spot near the lake, 5 min. walk from the lake shore, restaurants and mini-market
we received big room for 4 persons with small balcony with lake view, we bought breakfast at the locally bolonjery, and enjoyed it on the balcony
the room is clean and the staff is great.

The room is simple but nice and clean. The location is amazing. It is right in the mountain in a small village with a couple of restaurants nearby. It a so quiet at night.

The breakfast is just typical French continental breakfast which are baguette, croissant, coffee/tea and juice but sitting outside having our breakfast with the view of the lake was our highlight at this hotel. It was lovely.

I've been travelling round France for a week and half and have been booking hotels at various locations. Mainly kept the budget low, so I could spend a bit more on food and wine. The only reason for booking this place was the location, as I wanted to go to the Gorges du Verdon. And this possibly the reason why the price is much higher for what really is a 2 star hotel - the location and the views. The staff were friendly enough and there was a bar in the hotel. I didn't pay for breakfast so couldn't comment. I felt that the hotel was overrated for what it was, and it certainly wasn't an amazing hotel. I wouldn't stay there. It's decent, clean with views -that's how I would sum it up.
