“Stunning!”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

What a great team.
We went in the off season so there were very few visitors and the weather forecast was against us.
The owner was prepared some other activities to allow us to still go later in the day.
What a marvelous day, The scenery is stunning and the staff are marvelous. So friendly.
My only comment is I would have liked the staff to have had a bit more knowledge on the history and making of the geological features we saw.
RECOMMENDED HIGHLY...NOT TO BE MISSED.

“Smooth sailing”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Michael provided us with a great trip in rough conditions going off his normal route to make the crossing as smooth as possible. A great service and my family will be returning for a tour of the sea around the island with an outstanding company, great work.

“Service with a smile”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

At the weekend we took a group of 29 Scouts and leaders to Maria Island for a winter camp.
We had seen the offer for FREE Ferry transport during the winter season and took them up on the offer.
Michael was extremely friendly and obliging in organising a separate service to accommodate our large group.
They were able to cart ALL our gear, including 20 push bikes.
Great service, very efficient and Maria Island is such a beautiful place to visit.
The Ranger were also wonderfully friendly and even organised a concert in the heritage listed " Coffee Palace " on the Sunday night.
Apparently the busiest weekend on the island since 2009

“Outstanding day out”
Reviewed June 9, 2013

We enjoyed the most outstanding day out on our visit to Maria Island. The trip over on the East Coast Cruise boat was fantastic. Michael took the time to stop the boat when we spotted a pod of dolphins in the water and also some fur seals, he allowed us a great deal of time to enjoy these magnificent creatures before continuing on the journey. The boat is clean, modern and very well looked after. I am not a an of boats but felt safe on the trip. The island itself was simply stunning, we enjoyed our five hours there by taking a couple of the well marked out walks, enjoying a picnic and exploring the beautifully maintained convict buildings on the island. We were amazed by the amount of wildlife we saw too. I cannot recommend this place or business highly enough, it is a "must see" destination for both Tasmanians and visitors!

“Totally blown away!”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We took a Cruise/Walk Tour of Maria Island (only a leisurely 1.30 hour drive from Hobart). The cruise (3 hrs duration) starts from Triabunna with a short crossing to Maria Island & drop of for those passengers not taking the cruise. Cruise commences in a clockwise direction to Mistaken Cape and lastly dropping anchor at Riedle Bay before a return journey the same way we came. The scenery throughout is simply amazing with magnificent high cliffs of varying rock formations/fossil cliffs + sea caves including one which the cruise boat went entirely inside (Awesome). Add to that a host of spring fed waterfalls some of which came out of the rock face. Saw one lonely seal sunning itself on the rock. On our return did a walking tour to the solitary buildings on the Island at the Darlington Settlement. There are ruins a plenty from many years ago when it was a penal colony inhabited by convicts. Huge history surrounds the Island. No roads as such (quite unique) but plenty of walking trails and accommodation to take it all in. Loved the day and would highly recommend to any visitor to Tasmania.
