First off, this is the first time ever that I’ve ever written a review for something but I felt I really had to share this wonderful experience with everyone. I firmly believe that the resort most especially the owner and their staff deserves this..We booked for a 4 days 3 nights package(Full board meals included) with a few revisions on our Itinerary since the group wanted to visit Danao(Awesome Place by the way!) as well. We received a very warm welcome from Paul. It is true that the resort itself is a bit far from Tagbilaran (an hour drive) but this will have NO EFFECT on your Tours(be it countryside tour or island hopping/dolphin watching. The mode of transportation (boat/van) is always on time if not early. You won't be pressed for time when visiting a certain spot unlike other package tours wherein the tour guide is always hassling everyone to hurry up since they have a timeframe for each trip (this happened on our Puerto Prinsesa Package). In Hayahay, you get to do what you want, when you want. No Hassle and No pressure. Our driver (Kuya Abner) by the way is so cool! He took us to the best sceneries and catered to all of our needs, most of all he made us fell really welcome. There was no silent nor dull moment on our trip because of Kuya Abner, We were laughing and telling stories as if we've known each other for a long time. Truly an awesome dude! Our Danao trip was the one that truly touched everyone’s heart. This was not inclusive of the package and we had to pay extra for this (very reasonable amount). Anyway, we expected that the transportation was the only thing we paid for but we got more that we expected. Paul/Ara made sure we also had lunch (picnic) for that day and even instructed Kuya Abner to rent a Hut for us so we can eat comfortably. I've never met owners more generous than these two. You get your money's worth for everything and more. After our trips and we usually arrive almost nighttime at the resort. The resort itself was a Haven of Beauty and Serenity, a place where you can forget your problems (not an exaggeration!) and relax. The view was spectacular; the place is quiet and peaceful. The rooms were very clean and cozy; Bathroom was really nice by the way...spacious and tidy. Dining area had very romantic setting near the beach front. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. They never forget to say "Welcome" or "Thank you", with their genuine smiles. Lastly, the FOOD! It was like we were having a FEAST everyday! We occasionally get visits from both Paul and Ara during dinner making us feel even more welcome. We ate to our hearts delight, most of the time we were not able to finish everything since the food they serve was really PLENTY! We had Crabs, Shrimps, Clam Chowder, a giant LAPU LAPU, Squids, Fish Fillets and a Sinigang with Fish and Shrimp that was truly truly delicious! To top it off, we tasted a mouthwatering crepe for desert from Ara. She is an amazing cook! Her dishes were extraordinary. Peacock Garden may have their classy amenities, Eskaya their swimming pool inside their rooms but they will never have Ms Ara's cooking. Indescribably Delicious. When it was time to leave, both Paul and Ara personally sent us off and Ms Ara was the one that drove us to the airport. It was really hard to leave that place..very seldom that you meet people like these two. Their hospitality is genuine and truly one of a kind. This is truly an unforgettable and amazing experience for us...Thanks Paul and Ara!

We stayed here for 4 days and 5 nights. At first we thought it might be too long, but based on the reviews we took a chance. We were not disappointed! The food is as plentiful, fresh, surprising, and tasty as the other reviews say. There is also a bar on the premises and drinks are very cheap by Western standards. We spent the first half-day snorkeling, and it was simply amazing. The second day we went via catamaran to a local island with about 300 houses. We walked the island (see pictures uploaded) and got to glimpse life on a semi-remote Philippine island. Then we went snorkeling again and had a wonderful catered lunch overlooking the beautiful ocean. The next day we spent visiting Bohol island, including the Chocolate Hills and some of the other tourist sites. It's true that you spend most of the day peering out of a car window, but there is so much action going on outside that it is hardly boring. The staff were very friendly and outgoing - in true Filipino style.

The rooms are basic, but the bed is comfortable, the shower is hot and nice, and there is good air conditioning. You can walk out of the resort and around the island (takes about 2 hours to walk the circumference). Most people on the island are fisherman, farmers, or raise chickens or goats. It is a wonderful opportunity to see something of life in this part of the Philippines. The locals are friendly and engaging (and speak English). We never felt unsafe on the island, even if we definitely stuck out like sore thumbs. Finally, we found a beautiful white-sand beach about 15 minutes walk from the resort where we spent one day swimming and enjoying the beach all to ourselves.

My friends and I stayed at Isla Hayahay for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff and were friendly and personal. The food was truly delicious. Tours arranged through Isla Hayahay were lovely and reliable. What a beautiful part of the world and what a homely resort. Loved it!

Very nice spot, rooms are clean and rather large. The food is pretty good too.
Only problem is that it is a bit far from everything else in Bohol, not the best spot to reach the Chocolate Hills for instance... But we liked staying there after spending a night at the Nuts Huts in the jungle!

The resort is located in an island which is accessible by land transportation. It is a nice but small quiet place ideal for relaxation far away from any bars or restaurants. If you like seafoods like I do, well this is the place to stay cause they serve quite big portions of crustaceans. The staffs are nice and courteous, the owners are accomodating and friendly, though we experience a loud knock on our door (because we are running late on our guided tour).
The rooms are nice, the beach frontage is quite small and the water recedes far away during low tides. It's a bit of a distance from the main attractions in Bohol, an hour away from the airport, an hour and a half from Alona beach, Panglao Island.
I would have given this a perfect review if not for the things I mentioned above, but I would definitely give them a visit just for the hospitality and generosity of Ms Ara and Paul.
