“Almost Perfect!”

The resort is located in an island which is accessible by land transportation. It is a nice but small quiet place ideal for relaxation far away from any bars or restaurants. If you like seafoods like I do, well this is the place to stay cause they serve quite big portions of crustaceans. The staffs are nice and courteous, the owners are accomodating and friendly, though we experience a loud knock on our door (because we are running late on our guided tour).
The rooms are nice, the beach frontage is quite small and the water recedes far away during low tides. It's a bit of a distance from the main attractions in Bohol, an hour away from the airport, an hour and a half from Alona beach, Panglao Island.
I would have given this a perfect review if not for the things I mentioned above, but I would definitely give them a visit just for the hospitality and generosity of Ms Ara and Paul.

My partner and I were traveling to Bohol to the very first time and couldn't decide on where to stay. We found Isla Hayahay through Trip Advisor and decided to give the resort a try. We were extremely satisfied with our pick. The resort is very beautiful. The rooms are extremely cozy and the has a 'tiki' style like feeling to it. Bathrooms are very spacious and the accommodation is squeaky clean. Staff members will go out of their way to make you feel happy and at home. They offer packages which include a few nights stay along with activities. We loved the fact that the packages include meals as well which we looked forward to each day- their chef cooks up very delicious and unique foods for every meal! This place is a must for anyone who likes snorkeling as they'll take you by boat not very far from the resort into shallow waters so you can view live giant sized clams which was a highlight of our trip! Go with this resort and you will not go wrong. We definitely plan on heading back there again for sure!

Great place to stay. Big Spacious rooms and beds with aircon. Great Shower-Water Pressure, very well set out bathroom. Great facilities, wifi (works best in the dinning area), great food, outdoor setting, hammocks, EXCELLENT PLACE TO SNORKEL!!! Even on a cloudy day. Giant Clams and the marine life were amazing!!! Just let the staff know when you want to go snorkelling...I went as early as 7am. We felt like we had the place to ourselves. Very helpful staff and owners. Tea/coffee included.

Room Tip: Bring OFF & Underwater Camera.

There is no hustle and bustle here. Simple, relaxing and quiet. Great food, terrific facilities and the best staff around.

I went to Isla Hayahay not expecting much. I am from the states and a lot of places there are "you get what you pay for". We did not pay a lot for this trip so I expected a place to drink some beer and get away from the city. I have never been so wrong in my life. Once I got in the gates I thought I was in a different country. The site is so peaceful I lost all track of time and my cares eased away. Just what the doctor ordered.

Isla Hayahay is a bit off the beaten path but so worth the trip. When you are in the Philippines, please, do yourself a favor and visit Paul and his wife Ara. You will not be sorry.

This is a must if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Owner Paul and his wife Ara are wonderful and will make sure that you enjoy yourself. The resort is beautiful and the food is absolutely amazing. We went snorkeling and couldn't believe the beautiful sights that there were underwater. If you like simple, beautiful, care-free places, you have to go here.

I had 3 wonderful days at the Isla Hayahay. It is a relaxing and peaceful little resort far away from the regular tourist traps. The staff were always helpful and made the stay most comfortable. Snorkeling is possible right from the shore, but it is definitely worth taking the boat around to the giant clam reserve and doing a dive there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food was delicious and prices were comparable to other resort restaurants.
The only draw backs for here are: 1. the dining choices are really limited to the resort. There aren't any real restaurants on the island. 2. This is not a sandy, white beach spot. The resort is on the waterfront but it leads directly into seaweed and coral. There is a nice patio for sunbathing but don't expect a big beach.
