Hotel Restaurant L'Escale
Ranked #5 of 9 Le Chable B&B and Inns
Reviewed March 4, 2013

We spent the week-end in this very noisy and dirty hotel in Le chable. The location is on a very noisy road and our window couldnt close properly. We could hear other rooms around us and people going to the toilets all night. No bathroom and no toilets inside the bedrooms .. evrything has to be shared. Design is old and decoration of the room of very bad taste.
The owner must be the less smilling lady in Switzerland... all this magic for the price of CHF140/ night. To be avoided by all means!

Dear Edouard, thank for you review, but we really need to respond.
First of all, in our descriptions (you can see it on our first mail to you and on our website) are always clearly written ours prices and that bathroom has to be shared. Moreover, the prices are adapted to our hotel's category and location.
The weekend you were here was a really full one, that's why there were a lot of people going around and it was a little noisy. We apologize for that, but it doesn't depend on us.
We are on a busy road, but in Le Châble's centre, near to the cableway's start and train station: our guests come mainly for this reason and for the cheap price, compared to Verbier.
We try to welcome ours guests the best, that's why we are a little disappointed by reading your review., since we thought to have done our best to satisfy you.
And remember: when we are woken by a guest in the night, it's hard to be smiling in the morning.
Best regards

If you want to ski the tough skiing of Verbier without paying silly prices consider staying down the valley at Le Chable - 2 minutes walk from the gondola which goes through Verbier to the slopes at Ruinetttes. This is a local restaurant with (very basic but cheap) rooms around 70 CHF/night - no ensuite - but a good demi-pension dinner at 20CHF. Don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed!
