“Excellent place to stay with a family”

The Pilgerhaus is situated on a beautiful spot, right at the Lake of Tiberius. The place is calm, beautful and has good facilities. We were staying in a 4 person bedroom. It's nice and large, there even is a small kitchen. The restaurant is good and especially the terrace in front of the hotel is wonderful, We can really recommend this place!

Stayed here for 4 nights in March whilst we were on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, This hotel is right on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and is the perfect place for pilgrims as it is set in a very quiet and peaceful area in very pretty grounds. The atmosphere is serene and tranquil and is the ideal base for exploring this particular area and visiting all the places associated with the life of Jesus, you can sit by the shore of Galilee and contemplate whilst listening to the waves gently lapping and know that the view is the same as when Christ was here. In the evening it is even more sublime and I felt a profound joy in this place both in the evenings and at sunrise - (get up early and watch the sun come up over the Sea)
The rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, There was lots of choice of food in the restaurant and the local beer is excellent.There is a nice bar outside and also one inside, plenty of seating in the grounds, a chapel, a little gift shop staffed by nuns and lots of private quiet walks in the grounds with benches here and there all facing the Sea.
This is a wonderful place to stay and I plan to return there next year.

Room Tip: The layout of this hotel is very good, all rooms have nice views as it is in a lovely tranquil area...

I stayed for a couple of nights after a hike along a section of the Israel National Trail. From the very first friendly receptionist to my check out, I truly enjoyed staying here. Above all, the close by services at the Benedictines must not be missed, especially Laude.
This is perfect for everyone, single travellers, couples, a place to bring your mom or family.

My family stayed here and we were thrilled with the location and beauty of this place. The grounds and setting on the Sea of Galilee is truly amazing. The rooms were very basic and clean. The restaurant offered many choices and the staff very accommodating. After sightseeing it was wonderful to return in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine overlooking Galilee. There is a peace and calm here that allows one a time of reflection and meditation.

We will definitely return!!

Room Tip: A room overlooking the Sea of Galillee

I stayed here while on a pilgrimage and it was a wonderful place to begin. Right on the Sea of Galilee, and very peaceful. Bedroom was clean, with comfortable beds, extra pillows and blankets available and a good clean shower room. The food was excellent and in huge quantities; there is a peace and calm about the whole place and the staff are very helpful in a gentle unobtrusive way

Room Tip: Overlooking the beautiful garden leading to the sea is the best choice;

We stayed here as part of a Holy Land tour group. The facilities are first class; good size room and well equipped; excellent food and service; lovely grounds with a variety of birds. The Sea of Galilee a short walk away is such a special place for the pilgrim because Christ spent so much of his time here. We were sorry to leave. And - the price of wine with supper was very reasonable and good quality.

The rooms were clean and decently appointed, and the location on the Sea of Galilee can't be beaten. However, this place was expensive. Not just the room prices, but the prices at the bar were even more outrageous. Recommended because of its location.
