For our anniversary weekend, we decided to stay for 2 nights at Seda BGC. Incidentally, it was the same weekend as Mother's Day and a long weekend too (midterm election holiday). The location was perfect for our scheduled activities: checkup at St. Lukes, Mother's Day lunch with family, Sunday service at Victory, Mother's Day dinner with in-laws, relaxing massage at The Spa, shopping at Fully Booked.
The lobby interiors is pretty, there's also natural lighting all around the ground floor area. There are several iMacs and a printer for use by the guests. I was able to use them for last minute reviewing of senatorial candidate profiles, in time for election day.
The room was spacious and neat. I appreciate the cushioned seating by the window - it's very functional. I just wish there was an alarm clock by the bedside. There is no iron/ironing board inside the closet. There's the usual ref, electric kettle, safe, TV. The telephone by the desk has an iPod dock.
The bathroom, while relatively clean and new, was not 100% for me. I found dirt marks and hair in the shower (even before we got to use it). The white wash basin has black scratch marks too. The complimentary toothpaste is made in China.
There's a "do not disturb" button that deactivates the door bell but no button for room cleaning. So on our 2nd day, we came back to find the room untouched. Also, it takes a while for anyone from the concierge to answer calls.
Breakfast is good, I think the spread can be best appreciated by Filipinos - Adobo, Garlic Rice, Longganisa, Boneless Bangus, etc. There's also breakfast cereals, fruit juices, fruits, congee with toppings, sushi, desserts, and you can request for eggs cooked your way. The servers are very courteous and always smiling, but sometimes they forget the basics - like serve water, offer coffee/tea. There's complimentary newspaper as well.
Overall, despite the minor concerns, we'd still want to stay in this hotel again and recommend it to family / friends. Also, the location more than makes up for most so we're still happy we chose to spend our weekend here.
