A colleague and I stayed here for 2 nights while on business visiting our office very close by.

The location of the hotel is great for us and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby to enjoy in the evening.

First the positives:

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with decent beds and bathrooms Flat screen TV, Wifi, working desk are all provided.

However, it is the many, many little details that let this hotel down that make for an unimpressive stay.

Firstly, when you arrive at the Ground floor, you have to wait for some slow lifts, to check-in at reception on the 5th floor. Check-in is reasonable, with friendly staff and average speed and efficiency.

The restaurant is on the 3rd floor and cannot be accessed directly by one of the lifts.

The lifts themselves can only be used with your room access key and the weird design is the access panel is very low, while the buttons are high (see photo). That makes for 'interesting' contortions, when you are carrying luggage.

Then the small things hit you
- the surface of the floor of my shower was unpleasantly peeling
- the water kettle had a bare wire for the earth socket of the power socket (see photo)
- the Wifi in the room never worked (see photo)
- the cable TV failed on the second night (for 6 hours) and there is no alternative
- the iPhone player on my bedside table did not accept my iPhone. This was particularly annoying when the TV failed.
- Housekeeping left the doors to their cleaning closets open all the time and spare beds were stored in the corridors of many of the floors
- while clearly designed for it, there are no built-in air-conditioners. They are all wall mounted and clearly have not been maintained for some time, given the noise they all make.

When we went for breakfast in the morning, we were shown to a table that was dirty and had not been cleaned yet. A waiter came along and cleaned it shortly and offered us coffee. I asked for cappuccino and this was cheerfully offered, at extra cost. When it arrived it was awful, tasteless brown liquid, with a small amount of foam on the top. On top of this, I was charged 219 Pesos for this! Nearly double the cost of a Grande Cappuccino from Starbucks a block away. Outrageous. The table we were offered (and most of the others) did not have any condiments at all. If you wanted salt, yuo had to get it from one of the other guests.

The breakfast offerings themselves were quite good, with fresh bread, pastries, freshly cooked eggs, rice soup and all the regulars on offer.

All in all, the rooms and beds were good but the remainder of the experience was ruined through 'death of a thousand service failures'..

It's strategically located in the heart of BGC. Attended a party at Rockwell and a cab ride took me just under Php 100.

The rooms are spacious. View of BGC is adorable. Shower was appropriate and amenities are alright.

Breakfast was mediocre. Reception was absent. Manning was few so expect your coffee to be delivered late.

It's suppose to be no frill. Could be perfect if price range is equal to their service.

It was not made clear that this not what I call a `Normal` hotel. When you arrive you straight away think OMG , it is part of a tower block, the hotel does not start until the 7th floor. On the ground floor there is a lobby, kind of, with one or two on a good day porters to take your luggage up. The reception, is small but do able...by this point it`s now should of gone somewhere else, as this area is like a large bedroom.... again only 1 or 2 staff. We had no tea or coffee in the room after trying 3 times with room service I went to reception to get them

The sad thing is the rooms were very good, breakfast was also good.

You, like me will be offered a good price, glossy pictures....

We had 2 kids with us... again not a place for children...

The entrance is basic - no big deal. It looks like a businessman's hotel. We had a number of bad experiences, starting with a screw up over our bill by the pool bar, which did eventually get ironed out. We then needed an adaptor, which was, after quite a bit of drama, eventually provided. Then showering my son I discovered the one towel scenario that is mentioned here often. Housekeeping provided more. Then we realized our room didn't have the two bottles of complimentary water that were supposed to be there. Ok those were then provided. The internet connection in the room was hopeless, it may as well not be provided. It's a little better in the restaurant and by the pool. Then at bedtime, my husband and I couldn't sleep very well at all because the air con has a massive blue light on it which gave the effect of a space ship landing in your room. Add to this the bad water pressure, the threadbare towels, it really is a bit of a mare. The wine list was crazy expensive 2,800 +++ pesos for a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignan blanc, when a lovely restaurant nearby sold one for 800 +++ pesos. It seems that the PR manager answers each one of the reviews with a couple of different copy and paste answers, but never actually does anything about any of the complaints that come up repeatedly. We won't be staying there again. Oh, but to give credit where credit is due, I thought breakfast was not horrible and I thought the two guys working the egg station were very charming and entertaining.

I stayed here for 4 nights and chose this bec of the location w/c was near Santuario de San Antonio. The hotel had my must haves w/c was free wifi (a bit spotty), free parking and free breakfast. The latter was quite impressive bec of the many choices compared to other hotel breakfasts I had. The staff was helpful and courteous, the room was spacious, modern and clean. The only downside was that the elevators were slow and our toilet seat had a leak w/c despite my complaint, never did get attended to during my stay. As to location, if you just need to be in BGC or even nearby Makati, this is a good spot, plus Aura and Market Market is quite near for shopping.

Our two nights' stay was well worth it. Bought a gc during their Cebu expo last 2012 and booked online for our next day stay. The event we were attending was in Rockwell and our cab ride was smooth and quick. Concierge were friendly and so is the the reception staff. Room we stayed was the deluxe studio and transferred the next night to their deluxe. Since we had our event and meet up with friends our concern were the room transfer but they had it all arranged smoothly for us.
Breakfast was ok. Selection can be improved thouhg. Service during breakfast was also limited.
The hotel is near everywhere. Just take a leisurely walk to quite a number of shopping and dining options. Was able to squeeze in an evening jog before heading out to party.
Will definitely be back.
