Stayed 21 June for a few nights. Wifi too slow and lifts took an unacceptably long time to come - two out of five were not operating. I wanted to extend for one more night at the same rate but was told I could only do this by booking online again, which was not very helpful. My second visit, great location for Global City and nearby restaurants and bars but the hotel needs to get the service right

The hotel infrastructure is ok, though not outstanding. The design is nice but the layout of rooms, lobby and the restaurant are quiet far from good. The aircon blows right at your bed, which can be a nightmare for people sensitive about a/c. Additionally the windows do not really shield the noise from outside, especially since these is construction around.
The pool area is very nice, but useless as you have construction going on next to it.
Worst of all though was the elevator operation. 2-3 out of 5 elevators were not operating this meant waiting up to 15min to go up or down during rush hours. Unacceptable!
Free internet is ok, though the speed could be better.
Service is alright and relatively nice but toally disorganized and unexperienced. This s really a challenge whenever you need something.
I would not return, at least mot within the next 12 months. After hat, maybe...

Had an overnight stay with some girlfriends, thanks to some discounted vouchers we bought at a groupon site. Rooms were clean and comfortable enough. Bathroom was nice, however I had a sinking feeling that it would not stay 'nice' in the long run. I was told that this hotel was set up last September 2011, making it generally new; however we already spotted soap scum on the mirrors, rust/dirty grout on the sides of the shower stall...so generally, I think the materials used in building the bathroom were not really top-notch.

Customer service was generally OK. We asked for extra bottles of mineral water (the complimentary one) and were told by room service via phone that they only provide 2 per day. I found this strange since other 5-star hotels I've stayed in have given me as much as 6 whenever I request for some. Anyway, we asked another guy if he could accommodate our request, which he did. So we found that strange that the woman on the phone could not give us more water.

Another minor issue with house keeping: we asked for an extra comforter and they told us that they had run out and provided us with additional thin sheets and pillows (??) instead. But we overlooked that, slept well and still managed to have fun.

As for the breakfast buffet, spread was modest but I think the staff could use some more training. They did not refill the servings fast enough so at one point, there were about 4-5 dishes which were absolutely empty. Taste was 50-50, some were tasty (hash brown, corned beef), some were bland.

All things considered, I'd still say it was a very pleasant experience and worth the money that we paid. Note, though, that it was discounted at about 30-40%. If we go by the regular rate of this hotel, I'd find it a tad overpriced considering that they're on full-blown operation scale by now and they still lack that extra kick to call themselves 5-star.

p.s.
The previews reviewers were also right about the elevator issue. It took forever to get a ride and it was illogically programmed!

The hotel services are great. Rooms looks great. Perfect for business and pleasure travel. Food is great too. Room service is real good and fast. Very near to Market Market also. The only thing is, this is far from the airport but i had a very sweet stay...

Pros:

The room was very comfortable. The bed and pillows were great. The couch was a nice touch. Amenities pretty much complete (slippers, safe, mini bar, iron...). The best part of our stay as the actual room.

The restaurant was also pretty good. It was very bright, buffet selection quite adequate. The omelet was surprisingly good technically speaking.

Cons:

Overall, the guest still isn't made to feel well-cared for. When we got to the room it was WARM! the aircon wasn't switched on prior - it was not pleasant checking into a warm room. And because they didn't set the aircon, we couldn't get the settings right and it made for weird temperatures at night. (Tip: set the aircon mode at "dry" and adjust temperature accordingly. Don't put it at "cool" - the temperature will fluctuate too much).

The bathroom is on the small side and was a bit musty when we got in.

Overall there was just a lack of freshness in the room which should never be the case when a guest is newly checked in.

There's a phone in the hallway which the front desk uses to reach the housekeeping staff i suppose. But it rings way too loud and is heard inside the room. That must change.

Parking isn't managed by the hotel so it also gets inconvenient. For one thing, the valet service isn't free. This doesn't make any sense considering you're already paying something like $150 per night. And then there was this incident when we were leaving - we had a car pass from the front desk (which meant we could park for free) but misplaced the actual parking ticket. The parking attendant wouldn't let us out. I mean I understand that they need the ticket for their records - but we were paying guests and we had the hotel car pass which vouched for the fact that it was my car and we were guests, why did we have to be hassled that way. Surely in cases like this there should be a mechanism in place in which guests have the benefit of the doubt.

Would we recommend this hotel? Yes - but only until the other hotels in the Fort begin operations. Unless Best Western really ups its performance, I don't see how it can compete against hotels like the Shangri-la.

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the construction side. actually, there seems to be no way to escape the con...

Stayed here with my wife and kid to spend a weekend and go swimming. Driveway was a pain since valet at that time was not available. Had to drop my wife and kid and just meet them at the reception while I park my car down the basement.

Check-in was fairly quick, room was immaculate, but the elevators can sometimes be a pain... Selected elevators would cater to specific floors only so kind of a hit or miss sometimes.

Food was superb... We loved the spread! The pools are nice and warm, maybe due to the sun? My kid enjoyed swimming with us.

We got a pretty good deal (PHP3,XXX) and it the deal shows us again, we won't hesitate to buy again.

This is the worst hotel service I have ever experienced. To start with, the airport transfer was arranged poorly. I had to literally arrange it myself and make additional confirmations at Taxi station upon arrival. Second, they lost my reservation email and did not let me to check in for 30 minutes. Finally, they came up with the "brilliant" idea and asked me to resend my reservation details! Very unfriendly.

Even worse they have so many 24x7 developing outside, so sleeping good in this hotel becomes a real problem. Nearby shopping is another headache - there is only "membership shopping", which is obviously not an option for short-time visitors. Bath rooms are awful. Check out was a mess of "you need to pay for this and that" and "oops we printed the wrong bill".

Summing up. I would not advice ANYONE to ever stay at this hotel. You'll get the fair food and comparatively nice and clean rooms with new furniture. Anything else is nothing but headache, that's for sure.

Very unhappy customer.
