After a day in the lakes walking, family discussed what they fancied as their evening meal and came up with pizza and pasta.
Remembered San Remo from previous visits (all be it a number of years ago) My son Google the phone number as we drove on the M6 requested a table for 8.00 pm but was advised 8.30. Not bad for last minute on a Saturday night
On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and the atmosphere was pleasant with all tables full. We were asked to wait for 5 minutes and ushered to our quickly relaid table as a group left.
We had garlic bread with tomato with our drinks and then I had the best minestrone soup I have in a long time and three portions of the garlic mushrooms which were thoroughly enjoyed.
This was followed by our mains Calazone, Pizza Diabolo, Penne Choritzo, and Chicken Piamento .(hope my spelling is okay)
Not a morsel was left on the plates and all four dishes met with favorable reviews.
As I said its been a number of years since our last visit but I think it will only be a matter of weeks before we enjoy the excellent food again.
