“Can well recommend”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

My family and I (plus extended family), stayed here over the August bank holiday for a family wedding a few miles away. The people on reception (one man called Barry on check-in who usually works at another Premier Inn) were welcoming and friendly. The hotel had been very busy with a stag party before our arrival but the rooms were available on time and clean and tidy. We stayed in a family room with one kingsize bed and 2 smaller single beds. They provided an iron and ironing board on request. The adjoining pub "The Wilton Arms" where we dined for lunch and breakfast provided an excellent and well priced service. We would stay here again anytime.

Positive: Great Premier inn, friendly staff, clean room, easy parking, greeat location.
Negative: Squeeky wooden floorboards.. Was woken up at 6am by person in the room above stomping around, luckily I got back to sleep!

Room Tip: Try the top floor - won't have people above you to wake you up!

We stayed her with my 2 Grandaughters at the end of July. On arrival everything was ready for us and the staff were extreemly friendly. They gave the girls some crayons and a picture and said that if they brought it back nicely coloured in they would be able to have a gift. They returned this to receiption and had a large selection of gifts to choose from. This has never happened to us before at any other hotel. The only downside were that the rooms were slightly dated and that the breakfast was by order rather that buffet style, but nothing was too much trouble for staff at the Hotel or in the restaurant. We also at at the restaurant with other family members but didnt wait for long for a table or to get served, which is what many other people have commented on.

Room Tip: Rooms are well set back from the road so there is little road noise, even with the window open all n...

Very friendly welcome by the female receptionist who gave us all the information we needed and very helpful with our requests. Lovely gentleman on reception when we returned from our evening out, he went beyond his duties. Really nice clean room with everything you could need, we had the window open all night & could not hear a sound, it was nice & peaceful. The pub within the grounds was lovely too, nice staff, nice food, reasonably priced & free Wifi too. Would definitely stay here again. Taxi to Manchester Deansgate was £10.80. Would suggest that the Wifi is free for your entire stay rather than just 1/2 an hour

Stayed one night for business and was very pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service, size of room and parking. Particularly given the price, this was a superb choice after a long drive. Staff were amongst the friendliest and most genuine that I have ever encountered. Would definitely recommend.

The Premier Inn is in a good location and as usual was clean with a large comfortable bed. Premier Inn staff were friendly and efficient. However, we had our evening meal at the restaurant next door and waited for over an hour for our meal. The couple on the table next to us waited even longer and asked on 2 occassions where there food was. People who arrived after us were served before us, the staff blamed the situation on a fault with the tills. I am sorry but anyone with a bit of common sense would have realised that we had waited for an unacceptable amount of time!

Room Tip: Be careful when using the adjoining restaurant poor service

We stayed here for the Stone Roses concert on June of this year. I cannot praise the hotel staff enough. Originally there was only supposed to be two of us staying but at the last minute our plans changed and we had an extra person with us, a junior. So when we arrived we explained our position and apologised. Before we knew an extra camp bed was being put in our room.
The staff were unbelievable. Easily the friendliest and most helpful total staff I have had to deal with.
I would definitely use this hotel again especially if i was to watch another gig at Heaton Park, The hotel is clean and very welcoming. The situation of the hotel is good as well, being a 10 minute walk from Heaton Park and literally a stones throw from the ring road.
Thank you for a pleasant stay.
