“Awesome place near Loches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2013

We cannot say enough good things about this place. We stayed with our children (6 and 3 years old) and we had an amazing time. The accommodations are very nice and the common areas were very spacious. In fact, I would say that the pictures online don't look nearly as nice as the rooms or grounds were. We stayed in a room that slept 4 but we saw a few of the other rooms (including the cottage) and all were nice. It was very clean and the hosts were as helpful as we've had in helping to plan our day trips in the area. The breakfast was simple but included fresh pastries and excellent coffee. We can't wait to go back!!

The place has it everything. Excellent location, spacious, functional and clean rooms, silence, and extremely welcoming and delightful owners Clarisse and Stéphane, who really like sharing and giving you the best tips in the region. Excellent place for couples, family and friends. We really advise it!

My wife and I stayed for three nights. Weather was cool so central heating very welcome. Delicious home made jams made breakfast special. Room spacious, well presented and with a great view. Bathroom had a huge bath (often find only a shower in French B+Bs). Clarisse and Stephane made a great effort to make us welcome, and the sightseeing tips from Clarisse helped us make the most of our visit to the area. We liked the lounge with tea and coffee and innumerable reference books. The building is an impressive renovation and interior decor is of high quality. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Room Tip: Our room had a bath...I'm uncertain if all rooms are so equipped.

After brief and friendly email chat and reservation, we booked a room for one night at the domaine. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted by Clarisse. We had mentioned that we had a toddler and the room was prepared with as much attention as possible including the changing table and the extra doudou!
Clarisse was always helpful and provided targeted information about restaurants and things to see in the area with a toddler. Ask her anything. Breakfast is friendly and gives you a home feel. Everything makes you feel like a visitor rather than a customer and that was greatly appreciated.
Definitely recommended

Six of us stayed here shortly after they opened. We had the most wonderful time. Our hosts were incredible. The girls made us bead bracelets! We were welcomed into their private living room to watch the news about hurricane Katrina. We will never forget the experience. I cannot wait to go back and see the new renovations! /thank you again, Laura, Paul, Nicole,Steev, Linda and EricI cannot submit this review because it will not let me , the dates do not go back far enough, we were there in 2005! So I lied about the date just to get htis review on line.

We cannot recommend it highly enough and have stayed here a number of times. Delicious breakfasts definitely worth a mention! Clarisse and her family make you so terribly welcome and she is happy to help with restaurant reservations etc. Do try their homemade jam!

As a party of four travelling down from Cherbourg to Langue-Doc we stopped in a village near Loches to find a B&B for the night. The lovely place we stopped at was full but the owner rang the "Domaine de la Maison Neuve" to see if they had space. The normal B&B rooms were fully booked but Clarisse, the host, offered to let us use the beautiful self-contained two bedroom/two bathroomed guest cottage attached to the main house.
Everything was spotless and the decor was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail and the love put into renovating this old property is plain to see! The views from the house are stunning, especially early in the morning as the sun lights up the landscape.
Breakfast was fresh croissants, home made jam(very tasty), toast, yoghurt, fruit juice and tea or coffee. It was all very nice but I agree with a previous reviewer that fresh fruit would have made a welcome addition.
Clarisse couldn't have been more helpful and kindly rang a restaurant in Loches to ensure we could have a meal that evening. She also showed us how to use the hot tub that is situated in the cottage, unfortunately we didn't have time to try it but if we manage to go back we will!
We were only passing through the Loire Valley but our stay at Domaine de la Maison Neuve has convinced us that we need to return and spend some time exploring this beautiful part of France.
Thank you Clarisse for an amazing introduction to your beautiful area.
