“A Week at aCooking Paradise”

This was fun, exciting and an overall wonderful experience. We cooked and learned easily, and had fun doing so. Touring parts of the Loire Valley added anew adventure. Techniques that were taught made cooking fun and the other people on the trip were great to be with. Highly recommend this event

“Unforgettable 5 Day Culinary Journey”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

My Le Calabash experience was unbelievable! Sidney & Alison Bond are both very talented chefs who welcomed a group of L'École Culinairians from St. Louis they had never met into their gorgeous kitchen for 5 days. Not only did they welcome us into their kitchen, but they also shared their culinary knowledge, skills, and few secrets. Don't worry, I'm sure if you visit them they will share some secrets with you too. We also got the opportunity to check out Les Halles food market in Tours which was awesome! We also got to meet their friend Nicolas Paget, a very talented wine maker in the Loire Valley. If I can find the time and money, I would definitely consider making another trip to the "Bread Basket of France" cook with fresh ingredients, sip on good wine and visit with my new friends!

“A gem”

Excellent food, excellent people, you just have to meet Sidney's grandfather. The Lamb, being French, is the very best.

“Truly unique experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Of the 365 days of 2012, three were truly special. Those were the days I spent at Le Calabash, for the memorable time I had cooking delicious meals seasoned with laughter and joy.
Sidney and Alison are truly knowledgeable chefs who create a magic environment around cooking and sharing their stories and expertise. No matter your cooking skills, at Le Calabash you will feel confident to experiment and to enjoy yourself in a relaxed learning environment.
I was honored to be their first brazilian guest-student, and I have already spread the word to family and friends back in Brazil!
