A great walk up in the rainforest but the better sights are down below. Don't touch the bullet ants whatever you do!

Walking eye to eye with the birds and wildlife of the Jungle is a very enjoyable experience and this is what makes Atta Canopy Walkway such a special adventure, well worth a day or three to visit and soak up the jungle scene.

Turtle mountain is a short boat ride from Iwokrama, which is a protected sanctuary. I did not find the mountain an easy climb, however reaching the summit, which is a rather small plateau, the view is spectacular. It's quite something when you see large birds flying beneath your line of vision. Worth getting fit for!

I often wonder why anyone bothers with such elaborate structures. I've never seen anything from them that I couldn't see equally well from ground level. I think they are promoted for use by birders but are more just of entertainment value for people wanting a different experience

As with most canopy walkways the sweet bees are a bother, but of the two days we were on the walkway they bothered us only one day. There are three towers, but only one gives really good views. You can not really view from the walkways. They are two unstable.
