Description: A relaxed beach bar/restaurant set right on Praa Sands beach with fabulous views from our bar, restaurant and large patio. Serving a variety of mainly English food with a Mediterranean twist, and a good range of beers, wines, teas and coffees. We are child and dog (on a lead please!) Friendly, serve food all day, and have a very popular Sunday Lunchtime Carvery with live music. We also cater for Wedding receptions and other private parties in our beachside lounge area.

“Quite charming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

We have learned to really appreciate this place over two late-November visits to Praa Sands now. The view is of course gorgeous, but we also found the vibe quite relaxed and cosy. And if you know how dreadful mobile internet coverage is in this part of the world, you will love this place's free wi-fi even more. But that sounds a bit like damning the place with faint praise. Granted, we usually only had cofffees or hot chocolates, and the staff, while nice enough, weren't excessively welcoming if they didn't know you. I will say though that the one time we had a meal, I went for the fish & chips, which was not only insanely HUGE, but also very, very tasty and perfectly cooked. In view of the size and quality of the dish, I'd say the £9.75 I paid were absolutely justified!

“Good Food, Great Location, Expensive Drinks, Poor Service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

Stumbled across this bar on our first night in the area - decided to give it a try the following evening because of the great location right on the beach, plus I liked the 'shabby chic' vibe. I ordered the house burger which was fantastic (circa £10), wife had crab (circa £12.50) which she thought was bland and expensive for what she got. Went to settle the bill and was shocked to find that we we're paying circa £9 for a pint of the local ale 'Tribute' plus a 175 ml glass of Sauv Blanc - way too expensive - paid circa £6.75 in all other pubs/bars for same combo in our week in Cornwall. Queried it with the bar staff - got a really negative/unhelpful response. Sadly was put off and won't be visiting again.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012 via mobile

Good position large restuarant and bar with a great veranda overlooking the sea!! Food is actually good but too pricey and staff some good and some bad but not flexible with anything!! Shame management are the same as well !!! But good food and worth a visit.

“great views and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Visited many times and is one of my favorite places in the world, great views friendly staff. Food was very nice if not a bit expensive. On latest visit i was surprised by the price of drinks over £4 a pint on certain drinks. Will be visiting again though only wish it could be more often.
