Reviewed April 2, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Me and my partner stayed here for a week after a huge disappointment of a £540 pre booked cottage called the old Chapel in Germoe. We needed a alternative holiday home, as we were looking on TA we came across honour cottage, fantastic price, welcome to pets, great location etc, we called up and it was available so we booked straight away, literally 1 hour later we were in, I loved the huge fireplace and all the character of the cottage (wonky floors, beams etc). It's realistically priced, comfortable bed and settee etc, a big thank you to owners and the letting agents.

“A good location with ready access to lots of locations”
Reviewed June 27, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Honor Cottage is located directly behind the church and offers ready access to the coast along the footpaths or by car.
There is a pub only a couple of mins walk away that does take away as an option and a post office and local supermarket for shopping.
If your looking for basic then this is the place for you, there is no washing machine so everything has to be done by hand though there is a line to hang your washing on.
There is also no internet and getting a signal we found you had to go and stand on the church steps.
One thing you must watch out for is the bathroom door and kitchen door as these are quite low and I clouted my head many times on both drawing blood much to my annoyance.
The shower works if a tad slow and there is a bath tub which the weary may find usefull.
The garden could do with some tender loving care and the pictures may not be up to date, instead of just being strimmed back to make the cottage more appealing.
We found the neighbours to be friendly.
The staircase is quite narrow and steep but otherwise an easy short climb.
The bedroom could do with net curtains and curtains rather than storm boards to shut out the street light across the way as these made the bedroom stuffy with only the small window to open.

Thank you for your review and I am glad to hear that you found the location of Honnor Cottage an ideal base to get around. We understand that holidays are very important to clients and we endeavour to be as accurate as we can with our descriptions. On reviewing the property description I see that we do not advertise a washing machine or broadband. In addition, our description states ‘a neatly fitted kitchen with rustic pine units and a low doorway’ and ‘A rather steep and narrow carpeted staircase’. All customer feedback is invaluable to us and we will certainly pass your comments on to the owner regarding bedroom curtains. Mobile phone connection can vary considerably throughout Cornwall and we do advise that if you are concerned about mobile coverage to check with your provider before booking your cottage. We do hope that we can welcome you back to Cornwall.
