When eight guys book a trip for themselves to celebrate turning 40, you don't think they'll find just the perfect place to relax, eat, drink and have some fun, but we found it all at Fiddler Lake Resort.
Traveling from both coasts, finding the resort wasn't too painful with GPS, but I wouldn't want to go it alone or in the dark. The cabin was perfect, the service was great, and by that I mean, what little we needed was taken care of immediately. The hot tub smelled a little rank by the last day but we didn't feel like draining it and have cold water for half the day. My only regret is that we didn't make use of all the services that were available to us. You can order groceries from the IGA ahead of time and they'll be waiting for you when you get there. Plus you can get a chef to come in a cook one, or multiple meals for you while you relax. Might be pricey, but I think we'll give it a go next time. Definitely going to go again but will do more than one round of golf. We did four days, but I think next time we will do five. Just felt a little rushed and one or two more days would be great.

Room Tip: All the beds were comfortable so there was no preference to beds or rooms.

Just got back from a weekend away with the girls. 18 ladies in fact ! We stayed in one of the largest chalet's on the resort.

The chalet was clean, large and very well equipped. I don't think there was anything lacking in the chalet, we brought quite a few items as well for cooking as we knew we had a large crowd.

The only thing that was frustrating was the poor lot signs for the guest to find the cottage. The numbers were not clearly presented or even in noticable when people came late and were arriving in the dark. If you were not the main guest who reserved the cottage and had to go to reception you did not get a map of the result. There is a large map on a post near the main entrance however it is still very difficult to see at night or even in the day.

Posting clearly of where reception is would be helpful as well, black sign at night is not clearly visible also an indication of where the lake is from the main road would be nice as well along with the path to the water near the makeshift parking lot. The path marking is way back in the trees under long limbs. I know these are simple things but for a multi million dollar resort I am sure they could afford some proper sinage and perhap a box of maps at the front gates by the video monitor.

I am sure we will be back in the future.

First and foremost, the chalet was impeccably clean. Then there is the 24/7 reception desk. Often with rental cabins, you have to bring some amenities, NOT HERE. EVERYTHING is there for you... immaculate white sheets, towels, soap and even shampoo. Dish washing liquid and dishwasher soap too. The kitchen is equipped with a top of the line mixer, pots and pans, utensils of all kinds, I found everything I needed in the drawers and cabinets. A beautiful and quaint fireplace, a sauna and an outside Jacuzzi, what more can you ask for. 10 minutes away is the most impressively stocked general store called Vaillancourt. They deliver simple groceries, organic and gluten free specialties, excellent meat cuts, and even a good pizza. We went in November, took long walks everyday in the woods. All in all the price might seem a little high but it is worth every penny. We stayed in a 3 bedroom "rabbit" cabin. Will return again very soon.

Room Tip: Cabins facing the lake are the best locations.

It was our second time at this resort, we went with a group of friends. We stayed at chalet 48 (deer trail)this year vs rabbit trail last year. This year, we were disappointed. We found broken dishes, microwave wasn't working, one of the washroom wasn't flushing... On the top of that, the girl at the reception was so rude at checkout. She asked us how was our stay, so we said it wasn't as pleasant because quality wasn't the same as last visit. Moreover, we told her about the washroom problem (we didn't even mention about anything else), she didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Instead, she said why didn't we call the maintenance crew... What kind of customer service is that??? We loved this resort last year, this is why we came back this year. Now we are not too sure if we want to go back again next year.

My boyfriend and I went to fiddler last year for automn vacation and we realy enjoyed our stay. The place is gorgeous and very calm.
My husband and I loved the tranquility of the place. We were there for us to relax and forget the job. The spa adds ease to relax.
The rooms are nice and spacious, the cottage is very well equipped. The reception staff are friendly and helpful.
The village of Morin Heigths is just minutes away and Saint-Sauveur is also easily accessible.
We really loved everything about our stay. We are going back this year, but this time for longer and we invited friends for the week-end.

This was the first time at Fiddler's Lake Resort and are planning to go back next year. The Chalets are beautiful! We were five adults on a quilting retreat in Chalet 32 Bear Trail, and had lots of room. It rained all week, but that didn't put a damper on our week at all, we were there to relax. The staff were excellent. Anything we needed they were there in minutes. Cell phone service was not the best, but we didn't really care. Great place for a get-away with a group of friends or a family vacation. Highly recommend this place. Can not say a bad word about anything and can not wait to go back next year!

This was all of our first experience at Fiddler Lake and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a Rabbit Trail lodge and it was the perfect size for our group of five. The staff were very friendly while we checked in and our cabin was very clean and exactly what we were looking for. Our only complaint was that because there were five of us with smart phones and tablets, the wifi connection was VERY spotty and we had absolutely no 3G connection which was a bit of a concern since one of us were on-call for work while away.

All in all, a great weekend away and I definitely recommend the resort and would love to go back!
