“Wow !! What a gem this cottage is !!”
Reviewed August 4, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We arrived, complete with four legged friend, for a week's break and right from the start felt completely at home. We were met by Siobhan and Tim and given a brief but informative chat about the cottage, and handed a delicious Devonshire cream tea with homemade scones, and also a homemade loaf and other breakfast delights.
The cottage is in a great location, has off road parking, a fantastic shower room with lovely smellies and soft white towels, lovely furnishings throughout, a private rear garden with furniture and a barbie and access to the utility room to use the freezer and washer/drier with your own key.

Everything has been thought out for you, every utensil you could wish for is in the kitchen including a 'spinny whisk' and a coffee machine, complete with coffee capsules. The TV, unusually, is very simple to use, there's a DVD player in the side of it and upstairs a Bluetooth radio so you can play all your own tunes if you want to. Its all so new and lovely and very well kept together.

Siobhan and Tim can't do enough for you and made us feel so welcome, and so did the Landlord and locals in the village pub The Green Dragon. I can't wait to go back quite frankly and wish we could have stayed much, much longer. It's a great base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall with Bude only 20 odd miles away, the Lydford Gorge just up the road and of course Dartmoor with its endless possibilities.

Thank you for such a great week, see you soon, Ange, Jase and Cotton xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

“Perfect Countryside Escape”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

My husband and I were looking forward to a much needed getaway. Devon is our 'go to' escape, but this time we decided on a change from previous accommodation and we certainly struck lucky with HOF cottage. Every possible detail you could ask for and more from hosts Siobhan and Tim. Perfect too for our k9 member of the family who enjoyed his walks with doomy the resident spaniel.

“Delightful Cosy Cottage”

We were greeted by the owners with a delicious cream tea and a freshly baked loaf of bread. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is a home from home with everything you need, and more. There is a lovely sunny outside patio area for dining, and the local pub does good food. We walked off the cream tea on local walks recommended by Shuv and Tim. We cannot praise HOF Cottage and the owners hospitality enough.

Me and my partner loved staying at HOF cottage. It was a beautiful little cottage set in stunning countryside. The owners were very accommodating and looked after us really well. We arrived to homemade bread and scones waiting for us, and a bottle of wine! siobhan gave us lots of advice on where was nice to visit and which pubs and restaurants were nice. The cottage was superbly decorated in a shabby chic style and it was really clean and tidy!

We couldn't have wished for nicer, easier-going, appreciative guests. Sorry we weren't more helpful being so new here ourselves! Best of all, you cared for and left the cottage spotless! Very welcome to return any time.
