We had such high hopes for this place but it wasn't for us. We stayed in three different rooms having booked late and all of them were nice, clean and had no probs with the compost loo.
But you are located a good 20 minute up a very steep hill and you have to be prepared to hike it after dinner as taxis are hard to book from the town and/or cost a fortune. As a result we chose to eat dinner one night at the hotel which you have to notify the staff of at lunchtime....we arrived at 8pm and the main options had gone and we got the last night's leftovers, the soup was not as advertised and veggie option was a plate of lettuce. one of the worst meals we ate in the whole of Nicaragua. From a lunch perspective you can order form a small choice of sandwiches which were ok; the kitchen closes in the afternoon.
This place could be ace but was the biggest let down of our trip. Great view but just stop by in the evening for a drink, not worth being based there.More
