We stayed overnight and also ate in the restaurant in the evening. The food was really good and the wine excellent. The room was clean and tidy but the showers could do with an upgrade as the water pressure is not great. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would recommend anyone to pay this Pub a visit either to stay or to eat.

I visited this pub on three occasions as I was staying at a nearby guest house. I found the food excellent and the staff very friendly, hard working and attentive. There is a good range of food available and the pizza was very good, Looking at some of the bad reviews for this pub makes me wonder if we are talking about the same place. Food was reasonably priced, service was prompt and the place had a nice atmosphere. If you want a traditional pub then this probably isnt for you, but if you want a decent meal, with good sized portions and a good range of beers then you could do a lot worse than go here

We booked this pub for the last night of our walking tour and were pleased with the service and the food. The interior is nice, the car park adequate and the surrounding countryside pretty

Three of us eat here on Thursday night as we were also staying in the B&B for the night. Firstly the staff is very friendly. The restaurant has wooden tables lit by chandeliers and with reclaimed wooden floor and has a good atmosphere. There is a good range of food on the menu. Some of the starters seemed a bit expensive (they range from £1.50 for olives to £6.95) but the mains seemed reasonability priced (at £8.50 to £11.50.) The food we ordered was very delicious. I had a problem with the meal I had, but this was dealt with immediately and professionally with no fuss. The service here was perfect as nothing was too much trouble. I would defiantly eat here again when in the area.
