Our first visit to Camber. I left my Partner with a Beer and the Paper and I climbed a very steep sand dune path for my first glimpse of Camber Sands beach...Wow! The Dunes Bar was nice, light, clean, friendly. We had house hunting appointments so did not eat there. We returned for lunch on the Monday to find it all shut - so disappointing. Maybe another time.

Great beach bar. Visited in December 2013. I ordered steak n kidney pudding with veg chips and gravy followed by a pancake with fruit (strange they had it on the menu as pan-cake). Good food but pricey. Very nice bar probably great for groups of friends.

Spending a week on the Sussex coast during the worst storms the area has seen for many years was made tolerable by the Dunes Bar. It provides good beer, and decent enough food at a time when many coastal places are closed for the winter. Also good for watching the football.

Went for Sunday lunch and a pint, we arrived and we're shown to a dirty table which hadn't even been wiped down from the last customers. The waitress was cold and rude from the off, the beers were flat and half the menu was off. Ordered garlic mushrooms to start and roast beef; the mushrooms were a tepid bowl of something akin to vomit, completely inedible, and 40 mins later we were still waiting for our mains. When they arrived it was three slices of beef with two small potatoes and half a Yorkshire pudding. The surly waitress offered no explanation for the lateness of the food, then dumped a plate of microwaved peas on the table along with a miniscule piece of steamed broccoli for each person before huffing off in silence. One of the worst dinners I've had in ages, shocking service, would never come back.

Had a nice enough lunch here - food was pub grub. The dinner menu looked good but quite pricey. Staff friendly and attentive. Cater well for families. Good location close to the beach. Pretty quiet but it was out if season.
