You might not guess it from the outside, but lovely little Foodie serves the most mouthwatering food (breakfast, brunch, lunch, cakes, you name it) you'll ever eat. I love the sarnies and soups but my all-time favourite is their buttery, herby, mushrooms on toast. The custard tart is just superb, too. Everything is freshly made by gifted chef Justin and his kitchen team and I have never ordered anything that was less than delicious in all the years I've been going there. My family, friends and I have eaten everywhere else in Surbiton and there's nowhere to touch it. Justin's wife Jo is the barrista who has basically ruined me for coffee anywhere else. My favourite is her flat white. Her charming, friendly welcome is half the reason anyone rocks up day after day. All the staff are incredibly friendly, actually. Don't be put off if it looks full from outside - there are loads of tables upstairs! There's even a tiny terrace for when it's sunny.
