They've survived there for more than 20 years so they must be doing something right.
The food is good straightforward Indian fare. Nothing special and no "signature" dishes. Just the basic stuff. Reasonably priced and with a good selection of drinks.
The staff manage to be cheerful, efficient and helpful despite the busy atmosphere.
Rocky is the charming host and he has steered the restaurant expertly over the years. They have lots of local competition but always seem to be busy ( beware Friday and Saturdays when the place can be stuffed).
Yes, the decor is dated and really needs a makeover but as I think they are planning on expanding into the property next door, that has probably been put on hold for a while.
If you like your "Ruby" no frills with your mates this is first choice.
If you want a more exotic and refined atmosphere all you have to do is cross the road to the Maya.
