Best in the summer but also provides a cosy environment with real fires. Top tips are Camembert in a box a joy to eat ! Nice to relax and catch up with friends or family. Service not always great often with queues at the bar - come on get more bar staff

Great Christmas meal as part of an office party. The food was served hot and was delicious. The service was excellent. Highly recommended!

Fine wines well selected and at reasonable prices. Not all staff are trained in serving it, however; one didn’t know what sediment was, the other was quite impressive.
Food generally good but sometimes variable. Not all staff are trained, again; when we asked for forks to help eat the desserts, she took away the spoons!
They thanked us for our messages changing the size of our party, but didn’t translate words into actions! Human error.
The bill had my name on it but was for another table; we would have got a half price night if we had paid it! Human error again.

I have been to the bar and restaurant at Harts Boatyard many times over the past few years because you know exactly what you're going to get every time.... very good service, excellent location, mediocre food! Last week however was unpredictably disappointing as there is now a Xmas menu available... the Caesar salad was dry and might as well have been called "dry iceberg lettuce with supermarket chopped dry chicken", the roast pork had probably been cooked a few days before, the potatoes were so over-roasted that they hardly had any fibre in the centre and the meat was so dry and tough that the most eager-toothed dog would have had trouble with it. The Prosecco was the highlight of the evening. Two menus and a bottle of bubbly £70, predictably average! When I forget about how much I dislike my food I will go back again, for the agreeable service and the unbeatable view.

Roast Lamb for £17.95, it had one or two potatoes and I was left hungry! The quality wasn't too bad, but a price tag of £9-10 would have made it less of a disappointment.

Other experiences include chicken that was so dry no amount of gravy could make it appealing.

This place is nice for drinks, has Doom Bar and a fab collection of real ales with a good clean pint. However, avoid the food. It's over priced and of poor quality, which is a huge shame given the location of the place (right on the Thames).
