It really took them a lot of time, but the food was very good. Service was professional, they offered free drinks because of the delay. Mango Lassi was extremely good.
Could have been a 5/5 experience but the time issue is just too frustrating for me.

It’s reliable and dependable and in addition to the traditional curry house staples has some more unusual dishes. Served in a light, airy contemporary space. I love the tandoori gobi starter or crab bunjni - both lovely dishes that you won’t find on other Indian restaurant menus. The curries are all flavoursome with some good fish dishes as well. The service is attentive and the wines very quaffable.

Indian Cusine it is not. More like stew with a hint of spice. Daal was like water. Roughly cut up salad. No chutneys. No poppadum. First and last visit.

An uninspiring exterior gives way to a lovely interior, modern, clean and stylish. Unfortunately the food is very much in keeping with the exterior.

Let’s start with the starters since that’s a traditional place to go first...... a couple of tiny samosas which looked as lost on the plate as a rowing boat on the Atlantic, some burnt onions masquerading as Bhajis, yet defying most attempts to cut or chew them, and some GREY chicken. Not a truly auspicious beginning but we persevered.

Main courses arrived and were reasonable, if not quite delivering the level of Joy we anticipated.

It is now next day and only one of our party felt the need to vomit overnight. Luckily I have managed to dismiss the memory of the grey chicken otherwise I fear I might make that two......

I fear this may be our last visit and we will seek our joy elsewhere

Undoubtedly one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Venue, staff and food impeccable and as an added bonus their Sunday buffet must not be missed - unbelievable value for money.
