Description: The Four Trees Moira was originally a 17th Century Coaching Inn, offering travelers a rest stop on the way from Dublin to Belfast. After being extensively renovated in 2001 the Bar now offers bistro food and weekly entertainment. The separate 'Barn' doubles as both a venue for live sport before transforming into a nightclub on Fridays & Saturdays. A private courtyard and large beer garden gives customers a chance to escape the busy bar atmosphere if they so desire.

“What a find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

I was a bit reluctant to venture inside after reading the other lacklustre reviews but I am so glad that I did. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. My chicken supreme was good and came with a delicious risotto. And they had free wifi! What's not to like?

“Average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

We ate lunch here with our host who loves it and is a regular. I was disappointed with the seafood chowder which was very over salted. The children ate their food with gusto and seemed very happy with their choices. The decor is dark but I think that's the intention. I wouldn't choose to go back

“Food only ok but service always good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2013

Been here a number of times now and always find that the service is excellent, usually a good atmosphere. The food is ok, nothing fancy and some are not so great as far as taste etc, but cheap and cheerful. Guinness here is excellent.

“Pleasenty Surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

In Moira at lunchtime and fancied a bite. Been to the pub down the road last week and fancied a change. We were greeted with a warm ambiance and the chatter of people enjoying themselves. Immediately escorted to a table, given menus and drinks order taken. I loved the wooden interior, the book shelves and the old pictures. The wooden staircase to an upper floor with a private bar below it was exceptional. Battered haddock and chips. Haddock small, beer batter great and the chips were the best. Clean oil was obviously used and the tartar sauce was way ahead of any I have tasted. Curried parsnip soup with wheaten bread for my wife. One pint of beer and a sauvignon blanc. Extensive menu, good service and a bill of £20 plus tip. We Will Return
