We trudged all the way over to Burwarton this afternoon for lunch, it is about a half hour drive, and boy was it worth it. We both looked over the menu and really struggled to select what to have, I could have started at the top and worked through every course!. Both of use had the Scallops on Black pudding and pea mash to start and I thought it was a really good course, the peas and black pudding worked really well with the nicely cooked Scallops.
Main course for me was Venison Bourgnine which was delicious, and my mate had the Beef and ale pie which looked really good. Decent value and well worth the drive. Top marks
