The Farmhouse is the largest of 11 holiday cottages on a well maintained and attractive site hidden down a long lane a few miles from Crackington Haven. There are lovely views, woodland and fields for dog walks (not all properties accept dogs), a laundry (in addition to the washer drier in the Farmhouse) and indoor and outdoor children's play areas including a football field, and indoor area with pool, table tennis etc for bigger children. There is a good range of DVDs and books and toys for children to borrow if the weather is bad.

Simon, the manager was really helpful and friendly and the 16th century Farmhouse was clean and well equipped. Everything was in excellent condition as the Farmhouse has only recently been renovated. There is a nice enclosed garden with direct access to swings and a field and the thick walls and slate floors kept the place surprisingly cool. There is a 100 year old 4 door Aga and a separate cooker. The Aga made the larger of the 2 kitchens a bit hot but was ideal for drying clothes and towels overnight.

The Farmhouse is ideal for up to 3 couples or an extended family as it has 3 double beds (1x5ft), 2 ensuites and a big family bathroom. The master bedroom is fairly separate so 2 families/groups have a lot of privacy. Equally there are 2 large sitting rooms with TVs (one of which was HUGE) and 2 fully equipped kitchens. When the weather is cooler, both sitting rooms have wood burning stoves and the Aga will keep the place warm.

There is a pack of to do leaflets provided but no maps. Wifi was generally fine.

We stayed at Trewogie Barton and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Excellent accommodation (well maintained and very clean) and the location is great for both beaches and exploring the local area. Simon and Rachel are the general managers on site, they were very hospitable and gave us invaluable information re local information, places to visit with the kids and even some nets for the kids to go crabbing!

Crackington Haven beach is a must and you will be amazed by the beautiful pebbles and scenery.

Overall, a great place to visit, set in peaceful surroundings and close to all beautiful beaches of north Cornwall. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

This was absolutely fantastic, we occupied Prior and Farmhouse for a long weekend. Clean, Tidy and Peaceful with plenty of room, although tall people will need to duck thru' some of the doors! The en-suite was massive. We didn't need to use the Games Room, but only because we were too busy celebrating a birthday. Many thanks to the couple running the property for their help and hospitality. Would I come again, definitely!

Absolutely brilliant. Everything about this retreat was top mark. We had the "farmhouse" area, there were five couples and then there was plenty of room to spare. Out of our area there was a massive indoor games area just in case the weather turns, so there is always something to do.
Come again ?
Without a doubt.

Well appointed cottages situated on the Cornwall-Devon border. If you look out for the CSMA discount if you're a member and the sales are on, these represent excellent value. Beautiful, tranquil location. Cooking facilities were great and bathrooms were spacious. Cottage had a very homely feel.

We stayed in these cottages with family and friends and we were extremely pleased with the location and the comfortable rooms. My children could happily play outside for hours, and if they grew bored the beach was just nearby. The views in this area of the world are stunning, and the hospitality excellent. Thank you very much for making us so welcome.

We have just returned from our stay in Bligh cottage. The minute we pulled up into the yard we were greeted by Simon who couldnt have been more helpful. After a tour of the cottage he was sure to point out his mobile contact number should we have any issues - a great embassador for CSMA and Treworgie. The cottage itself was delightful, immaculately clean and was a real cosy home from home that had everything we needed and more (how many holiday cottages have a slow cooker included?!) The large four poster was very comfortable and the furniture throughout was of really good quality (loved the large treasure trunk in the bedroom). There were even some framed pictures of Bligh before it was restored. One of the more unusual features was the porthole between bedroom and lounge - this place has been really thoughtfully well designed.

This was our first holiday with our 8 1/2 month old baby boy and having a cot and high chair provided for free was a real bonus (the high chair was even set out next to the table! what a lovely touch!) The bed linen was a lovely crisp white cotton set and the towels were fluffy and white. The grounds of the complex were beautifuly manicured and it was great to watch the rabbits wandering around just outside.

We were really impressed with the Byre which was very well equipped with baby toys and games. We were even able to borrow several DVD's. In Bligh itself there were a selection of board games and books that we were free to use. It was a real shame the weather was so bad that we didn't get to fully utilise our lovely decking that was lit at night (as were the pretty central pagoda and cobbled courtyard).

A truly lovely setting with the view of Widmouth bay from our bedroom window. One of the downsides of such bad weather this last week was that with a baby it wasn't practical to get out and do any of the local walks. You really do need a car get anywhere - the local and very well stocked shop was a mile away (an easy distance in itself) but there is no pathway so you have to walk in the road.

One thing to make this place truly perfect for us would have been a swimming pool (to be fair the weather was awful so unsure if it would have got use but still think it valid). There looked to be room for one and it would absolutely top it off.

We could really imagine having this as our very own holiday cottage as it was so comfortable, spacious and welcoming. We would definately recommend to others and go back ourselves.
