We stayed at the Colesbourne Inn whilst visiting the Cotswolds for a long weekend. We were really impressed upon arrival we went to the bar and we were given a key and asked to pay on departure (always a good sign!).
The room was large with good heating, a small but nicely finished bathroom with just a shower (and a heated mirror) toilet, and washbasin.
The room itself was clean, recently refurbished with a large comfy double bed and lots of pillows and cushions. A new TV with Freeview was also on the wall along with tea and coffee making facilities. There is a small wardrobe in the room.
We suddenly discovered an influx of ladybirds literally dozens of them, but it turned out that they village had been swarmed by them earlier in the week and when we turned the heating on we brought the ones hiding out in the window frame out of hibernation. We mentioned it and they offered to hoover them up!
We ate in the pub attached to the hotel (booking is essential) and the food was superb as was the service and attention to detail. You can even ask for the bill to be added to your room or pay it there and then.
Breakfast was very nice and was just the right amount with lots of choice.
All in all a very positive experience at a hotel with only 9 rooms!More
