We really enjoyed our visit to Gambles farm. We were made extremely welcome and were well cared for. Comfortable room with plenty of space and all the conveniences you might want. Excellent cooked breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Marvellous value for money. We have stayed in a couple of the surrounding hotels that cost a lot more but offered less. We were sorry to leave!

My mum was visiting and stayed here-not just a bed and breakfast-the most fabulous bed and breakfast. The rooms were exquisite and of the highest standard with every attention to detail-you need to bring nothing but your clothing. The breakfast is also of the highest standard and you are made to feel the most welcome guests ever. Would visit again and again and so more than worth the money xxx

Room Tip: Bring just yourselves as everything is provided xx

Tremedous short stay while visiting family nearby. Vast and tasty breakfast in a room with a lovely outlook. Fully deserves the 5 * rating. Peaceful nights. Enormous bedroom with lounge area and good size shower room. Plenty of added luxuries which we did not have time to use (eg footspa). Sarah is welcoming yet unintrusive and asked when we'd like breakfast rather than telling us what times were available. Will return without hesitation.

We are a french couple and went to the Gambles Farm last august, with our 13th years old boy.
This place is WONDERFUL. We felt like home and didn't want to leave it.
Sarah is so welcoming and charming...
The bedrooms are very cosy ; everything is done to make you feel comfortable.
As for the breakfast, it is served in a marvelous room, looking down the fields ; all is perfect.
Don't hesitate : this is the place to choose if you travel in the Cotswolds.
Thank you, Sarah, for your lovely welcome...
Hope to come back as soon as possible.

We had a rare treat of a weekend away without kids and we really did pick a winner here.
We chose the King Suite which had the most fantastic supersize bed ever...very comfortable and absolutely enormous. It had the most gorgeous white linen on it which was incredibly comfortable.
Amazingly, this bed did not dwarf the very generously sized bedroom which included all little extras such as a foot spa, towelling robes, lovely toiletries, fabulous tea and coffee of all descriptions as well as luxurious hot chocolate. There is also a snack bar, DVD's, radio and a very snazzy television.
The outlook is beautiful with gorgeous Cotswolds scenery and the full English breakfast in the morning is really to be recommended.
We walked from the B and B both for our day's walk on Saturday and for our meal out in the evening: with absolutely no need to use the car as the Apple Tree has lovely food and it is only a five minute walk. Amazingly good value as well at the Apple Tree...and a wonderfully extensive menu....do book though...it was very busy!

"We were put onto Gambles Farm by a family member that lives in the village just down the road, and we have never looked back.
From driving through the secure electric automatic gates and walking through the door that very 1st time, we knew we had hit onto a real gem of a b+b.
Sarah and Nick (if he's not working somewhere on the farm) welcome you like they've known you for years and immediately make you feel comfortable. The reception area has local taxi numbers if needed and plenty of other information on things to see and do in the cotswolds, and umbrellas for your use if its a wet day.
On the landing Sarah and Nick have provided a fridge for drinks/food etc, microwave oven, cutlery, glasses, wine cooler and various snacks.
The rooms both the KING and QUEEN suite are very spacious and are somewhere you could live in rather than just have a weekend stay.
The rooms boast large beds, TVs, cd player, dvd player and a range of cds and dvds,a sofa, the KING suite has a 5 piece bathroom suite and the QUEEN suite has a shower instead of a bath, both bathrooms have speakers fitted so the music you choose to listen to can be heard whilst bathing. Bathrobes are also provided.
There is plenty of clothing space and other little extras that we wouldn't have expected i.e, fan for when it's hot and a foot spa for after those days of walking around the hills and towns.
What makes a nice change is YOU get asked what time YOU'D like breakfast instead of being told when you can have it, no timeslot is ever a problem.
The breakfast is the best breakfast we have ever had anywhere (and i've stayed in some "pretty good" hotels around the world), sit in the conservatory with picturesque views, choose from fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit juices then have a warm croissant with locally produced jam/marmalade then if you've room follow up with a full english again with locally produced bacon, sausage, eggs and toast made with home baked bread. tea/coffee.
Very quiet and peaceful grounds with great views, watch the horses, rabbits hopping all around the farm, chickens, hamlet the kuni pig and grace the goat, not forgetting roly and oscar the family dogs.
For us it was in a great location, very quiet and restful but with a pub that does excellent food a 10 minute walk away, THE APPLETREE, the village of bishops cleeve is a 20 minute walk away and all the towns STOW/BOURTON/ CHELT/GLOS and many more are within easy driving distance.
Sarah and Nick are the perfect hosts and have obviously worked very hard to provide people with this perfect place of cotswold peace and luxury.
Its no surprise that Gambles Farm has a 5* rating, but without the 5* price tag and really is a home from home.
We have done and will continue to tell everyone we know about this fantastic place.

Went to Gambles with a close friend and we stayed for four days.
Nothing was to much trouble, Sarah on arrival and throughout our stay
could not do enough for us always with a smile, above and beyond the
call of duty, very clean, food was delightful and very attentative.
Nick and Sarah have obviously worked very hard to make gambles Farm so welcoming
and special. We loved meeting Grace the goat, Hamlet the pig, chickens, dogs and
horses, lovely place and woukd most certainly go again. Plenty to do in the cotswolds
and lots to see.Pat Shepherd.
