“Very welcoming with top marks throughout”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2011

After looking at a few places in and around woodmancote I am very glad that I chose Homelands for my mother. Eric and Nikki have created an outstanding bed and breakfast and this was confirmed by a mother that expects thing to be "just so"and indeed they were. The single room could easily been a double and the very spacious guests lounge was a very welcome surprise.

I can not fault this perfectly situated B&B and neither could my mother. That speaks for its self.

Thank you

We spent a completely relaxed 4 nights at Erik and Nikki's Woodmancote bed and breakfast. They were both always incredibly helpful when necessary (providing good directions and recommendations for places to visit and eat [although I do have to caution against the Apple Tree Pub around Halloween, because we spent an entire meal assaulted by a horror movie soundtrack]), but never intrusive.

They serve the best cooked breakfast I've ever had, with an amazing amount of local (and homegrown/homemade!) food, including delicious homebaked bread (3 different kinds), eggs from their own hens, and homemade sausages and bacon. They graciously offer the use of several common areas (breakfast room, utility room, lounge, and conservatory) at all times; we had a late night fish and chip run at one point and were able to use the breakfast room to eat in, and were able to wash up plates and cutlery in their well appointed utility room.

Our room (Sudeley) was a very spacious double, and even when we left only 10 or 15 minutes to spare for it to be cleaned, we always came back to find they'd managed to tidy up for us. The gardens are amazing, and obviously lovingly looked after -- in fact, the entire business/home is so clearly a labour of love on the part of the owners that you can't help enjoying yourself while you're there.

Room Tip: When I booked in, Erik gave me the choice of two doubles, with Prestbury having the better views (ou...

Dear Carolyn,

What a brilliant review- thank you very much for doing this for us!
We love it when our guests appreciate our home-made bacon and sausages, jams and marmalade's, real sour-dough-bread- and 'real' free-range eggs.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon

This bed and breakfast is outstanding. It is very comfortable and quiet. The owners are pleasant, helpful but unobtrusive. I thought the room size and the quality of furnishings were far in excess of many 'luxury' hotels I have stayed previously.
But for me the highlight was Erik's breakfast which was generous, comprehensive and consisted of the best quality locally sourced produce.
I'd go back in a shot!

Running teams in Glasgow, Gloucester and Southampton has its challenges in harder economic times. Even with the benefit of Trip Advisor I have made some big mistakes.
Not so here; This is the most idyllic, well presented B&B haven I have stayed in for many years. The owners are attentive without being intrusive and the decor, cleanliness and breakfast was as good as you could wish for.
A trip to the the nearby Apple Tree pub is a must. Great food, good value and fantastic service. I stayed in the ground floor single and will return on my next team visit. My only issue is that my colleague who recommended I stayed will be fighting me for availability next time.
Book it!

Room Tip: This is in a quiet spot ,superbly presented; trust the owners

The wonderful reviews are fully justified. This modern house is in a quiet, peaceful location. The rooms are supremely comfortable with everything that you need for a relaxing stay. A pretty garden, with fruit trees and chickens, and a bright conservatory are a bonus. Thank you Erik for your warm welcome and most of all your delicious breakfasts. It was a perfect few days.

Every comfort possible - modern decor, meticulously furnished and clean, very quiet. There are a guest lounge and conservatory, use of a kitchen and a large garden. The food is all locally produced and organic. Very highly recommended - a wonderful experience.

Stayed two nights on our trip from New Zealand . The help and hospitality was much appreciated . Room was a good size with nice ensuite and breakfast was something very special with so much on offer. Make sure you go th the Pub for dinner. This B and B well deserves the 100 % excellent rating it has.
