Had three nights in this lovely hotel in the first week in September. We chose to stay in one of the garden eco pods and found it to be tastefully decorated and beautifully warm and quiet. It was a pity that the weather had changed because it would have been lovely to have sat outside in the well tended gardens. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and there was a separate vegetarian menu which we were able to take advantage of. However as with all restaurants that are not strictly vegetarian ( in my experience) the choice of menu for the mains does tend to be very filling, Not such a problem for one night but if you are going for a three course and are staying longer the tendency to 'blow up ' is a real possibility!! Such was the case here and I felt compelled to have the fish dish on the menu - for my own well being! However other patrons might consider feeling full as all part of the holiday and a bonus rather than otherwise!
The hotel would have got a 5 rating if it was not for one event - and I suspect that this was a problem with whoever was doing the housekeeping. The pod was lovely and clean but the shower would not stay in its holder so that one was forced to soap up an then use the shower head manually to rinse off - it was not possible to stand under the shower as the shower head drooped down and sprayed against the wall. We did report this to staff but nothing was done until our last night when my husband had to ask for a screw driver and fix it himself - simple process. Less forgivable was the fact that I had left our towels folded in the shower as asked so that housekeeping could leave new ones. On our return to the hotel on our last evening I found these same towels placed on the shelf where the new ones are left - damp - and clearly the same towels we had left out to be changed. In addition to the screw driver request my husband also had to ask for some more soap so when we found out about the towels - with dinner imminent - we just put up with damp and dirty towels! We did mention it when we left in the morning as we asked about our stay and they expressed surprise and said they would have a work with housekeeping. I do hope this was done. For a hotel of this calibre this should not have happened - a pity because I would have loved to have left them an ' excellent' rating

We had a one night stay here as a treat, and what a treat it was! We stayed in one of the garden pods which was fantastic. It was so cosy and quiet and very luxurious. Breakfast was superb, the staff all very friendly and helpful. We could not fault any of our stay. Just wish we'd stayed longer.

We stayed one night at Satis House Hotel on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast package. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by the Satis team. Every interaction with had with a member of staff was positive - every one of them were welcoming, polite and attentive. The room was fantastically decorated and a nice mix of traditional features of an old house along with a modern yet practical room design. The little touches were fab, especially fresh milk in the fridge for your tea/coffee. The evening meal with lovely - good choices on the menu and a nice wine list. Would highly recommend this place if you are staying in the area.

We booked most of the rooms along with our family as our Son and Daughter in Law were getting married nearby and not being from the area we needed somewhere special to stay for the event, On arrival we were warmly welcomed and throughout our stay each of us felt well looked after and made comfortable Each room is different and absolutely spotless. The food is excellent and served in a relaxed and accomplished manner. The Bride and Groom had the Framlingham Room as their Bridal suite which has a balcony making it perfect .We were so impressed that we decided to stay on after the Wedding to relax and visit the coast. Kevin David and staff made our very special occasion perfect in every way. Beautiful hotel, food and surroundings. We can't wait to visit for a holiday next year

Room Tip: All rooms are different so it is a good idea to ring hotel for advice
