A fabulous little cottage with everything you need for a relaxing break. We loved it and will go back again very soon.

“Let down”
Reviewed June 16, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Lovely cottage nice location however is listed dog friendly but has a very busy lane with lots farm machinery right outside the only door. We arrived at 3pm and had some issues mainly with the only television but the owners were not available for 2hours, no signal to ring them, Mr Hopkins eventually came to sort it but if continue to give problems for the rest of the stay, as it was only a short stay I had not envisaged spending my time knocking on the door of the owners to sort it,
Stayed in many holiday cottages so I am a good judge of what works condition of cottage very nice but lack of consistency and availability spoilt the stay. DVD or music system would be an added advantage.

“PERFECT....JUST PERFECT”
Reviewed May 12, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Having two lively labs as part of our family means we holiday in the UK a lot and its taken time to get venue and the accommodation right. This cottage and its location.....We could not have asked for anything more perfect. Clean and tidy, modern but with a lovely cottage comfort feel. The perfect view from the sitting room, to the park that was hugely adored by our doors just a front door opening away! Another plus, everything you wanted to do or see that needed travelling to, was no more than 20 minutes away shops nearby but also the Pennine way is just a short walk. It was a well deserved break for me and my partner and our fur babies who were shattered by the time we had to sadly go home. We will definitely be visiting again. in fact we are in the process of planning it. My only thing....a harder mattress in the master room would have been fantastic but that is down to personal preference. Cannot wait to go back

“Ideal”
Reviewed April 30, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Lovely cottage, everything you need, ideal location for exploring. The cottage is well equipped, home from home.
We walked the Monsal Trail on Saturday, parked at Tideswell (free on the Rd) walked through Litton Mill & Cresbrook Mill before joining the trail, beautiful walk, we caught the bus back from Monsal Head to Tideswell. Then visited Bakewell & Buxton & back to the cottage. Sunday we did Mam Tor, harder walk but beautiful views.

“Beautiful, sweeping views”
Reviewed April 14, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We had a lovely stay at this cozy cottage. It was perfect for us, our little one and dog. The cottage is located in a quiet village with beautiful views of the countryside. Well equipped and spotless, a travel cot and highchair was kindly provided too. It was a 15 minute drive (max) to Mam Tor for some great trekking in the Peak District, also well located for the towns of Buxton and Bakewell. Great communications with the owners too.
