Stayed there 2 nights in late May. We wanted to see the Valley of the Temples, but wanted a small, quiet village in which to stay. Favara is this place, with terrific cafes and restaurants.
The Belmonte is a very good hotel, nice rooms, and very close to its sister hotel, the fancy Alba Palace. Note that you check in AT the Alba. The staff all had good to fairly good English skills, so that made things easier.
Thank heavens the young man at the desk was a parking whiz. Parking is pretty much insane, depending on the time of day you arrive. Just give him the keys and let him do the work! Our tiny car was shifted a few times each day, but it was of no worry to us! And, when we needed the car, it was there quickly.
A/C worked fine, room very clean, bathroom great, and it was QUIET. Just off the main square, lined with cafes for sitting and people watching, from coffee to prosecco.
Breakfast was held each morning at the Alba Palace, with obliging staff to squeeze you fresh o.j. and make you yet another cappucino.
Had dinner one night at the Alba Palace restaurant, separately reviewed in the restaurant section because it was that good, really top notch.
Would we go again? Yep, and this time, we have a really good map!More
