This hotel is really great. It looks quite new, and the style is modern. The rooms are big and comfortable and clean. (Small remark: showerhead needs to be treated to talk the calc away and to function normally). The reception and the breakfast is in the other albe hotel. The breakfast has a good choice and the service very friendly.

On first sight, Favara is not a very attractive town, yet there are some pearls at its center. One of them is Belmonte Hotel in the old town, which provides for a nice stay in Favara, thanks to its comfortable rooms (and beds!), excellent breakfast and last but not least, its friendly staff. Grazie mille!

We wanted to visit the great temples of Sicily and needed a place to stay but were put off by the descriptions of Agrigento. A friend recommended the small town of Favara, which is minutes away from the temples by car. Based on Tripadvisor reviews we decided to give Belmonte Hotel a go. The journey there did make us wonder whether we’d made the right choice. The approach to Favara is hardly inspiring, and finding the hotel in the middle of town is quite a challenge (our tip: turn off GPS once you approach the town and ask for directions to Piazza Cavour), but once we made it we knew we’d struck gold. Belmonte is a family run hotel; its sister hotel next door (the four-star Alba Palace – which looked amazing!) had only just opened and this was where we were served breakfast. The restaurant was so good (the chef was one of the owners) that we ate there on both nights and loved the food! We were looked after impeccably (we had an amazing roof top room!), including a personal tour of the new hotel by one of the family members, and the offer of free towels when we wanted to spend a morning at the Scala dei Turchi (which were well worth a visit!). In a word, sublime!

Came into Favara by chance and stumbled across the old part of the town, finding this hotel down a little street just off the square.
Had a fabulous room, beautiful twin showered bathroom.
Also had access form our door onto large roof terrace, which no-one else used, so we felt very spoilt!
Fabulous breakfast.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this hotel; Favara is near to Agrigento and the temples so handy for visiting there.

Room Tip: Go for room 301! Access to roof terrace makes it special.
